On the April 21 episode of Days of our Lives, Chad beat a hasty exit from an accidental meeting with Cat, while Gwen learned that the man she had an affair with is back in Salem. Could we see a real relationship between Chad and Gwen this time around?

Long Ago, In Someone Else’s Lifetime
Back when Chad (Conner Floyd) was still married to the now-dead Abigail (Marci Miller), he had a one-night stand with her newfound half-sister, Gwen (Emily O’Brien). Gwen got pregnant, miscarried, blamed the tragedy on Abigail, and so got rid of any goodwill Chad may have still harbored towards her. Which means the pair has baggage. But not more than any other couple in Salem.
Custody Concerns 
Right before Chad left town, he promised Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) and Jack (Matthew Ashford), not to mention Thomas (Alexander Elijah Bond), that he would stay away from Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), or risk losing his kids for good. So when the four of them ran into each other in Horton Square, Thomas pouted, and Chad and Cat quickly said their good-byes. So there is no future there, right? Right?
Third Wheel
Then again, if Chad and Gwen were to rekindle their relationship, Gwen’s new friend, Cat, would likely be in Chad’s peripheral vision constantly. He couldn’t help running into her. And talking to her. And… It wouldn’t be his fault. Proximity, and all that. Though we do urge Chad and Cat to be careful. Look how Gwen reacted to her best pal, Leo (Greg Rikaart), cheating with her husband, Dimitri (Peter Porte)… If Chad starts dating Gwen and leaves her for Cat, he’ll have a lot more than bratty Thomas to worry about.

Dimitri’s Hunt for Kidnapping Evidence
Dimitri advised Gwen that he didn’t ultimately sign their divorce papers because she appealed to his better nature with tales of their early relationship days, but because he just wanted to get rid of her. Dimitri also let Gwen know that just because they weren’t married anymore, that didn’t mean he’d quit looking for proof that she was the one who had him kidnapped and held prisoner.
And now that Gwen admitted she was once deeply in love with him, could Dimitri opt to… seduce the truth out of her?
A Seductive Trap with a Pregnancy Twist
We can see Dimitri using Gwen’s one-time feelings against him to get her into bed — and get her talking about what she’s done to him in the past. Dimitri will split as soon as he has what he needs.
But what if Gwen ends up pregnant… and the future she once threatened Dimitri with, actually comes true?
