HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! Coronation Street names possible Theo killers as huge week begins

Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Mystery death week
Coronation Street star James Cartwright has named Carl Webster as a potential killer in the show’s new murder mystery.
Carl has already been confirmed as one of five characters who could lose their life in the week ahead – but it seems that we also shouldn’t rule him out as the potential culprit.
Back in February, Corrie bosses announced that Carl, Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll, Megan Walsh and Theo Silverton are all in danger. Their stories will play out across the next five nights, culminating in a body being found by Betsy Swain.

James’s character Theo Silverton has upset many of Weatherfield’s residents over the past few months. If he’s the one to meet a grisly end, could his ongoing feud with Carl be the reason why?
Speaking about the possible killers, James teased: “You’ve got Carl, obviously. I think Carl’s like the tarantula of Coronation Street! He prowls and sinks his teeth into anyone.”

Joking about Carl using his feud with Theo as a redemption tactic, James quipped: “[He could say]: ‘Look, I did kill Theo for you all, okay. Look, I’m trying to make good’. So it could be Carl!
“You’ve also got George. George could do it because he could put Theo in a coffin and bury him and you’d never know, do you know what I mean? You’ve got Todd and Summer too. It could be any number of people.
“Very often with these things, it could be who you least expect. Imagine someone like Summer – he walks into the shop and she just cracks him over the head with a tin of beans, closes the shop sign and sticks him in a bin bag!”
While viewers will have to wait until Friday (1 May) to find out whether Theo is killed, his story takes centre stage in Monday’s episode (27 April) with some early clues to consider.
This week’s episodes rewind to the start of Carla and Lisa Connor-Swain’s wedding day, examining the events from the different perspectives of the five characters who are in jeopardy.
Notably, Theo is seen returning to the Street for another showdown with Todd Grimshaw – the latest terrifying moment in their ongoing domestic violence story.
“Theo is really desperate now,” James continued. “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time. Eventually it’s got to the point where he’s not even bothered trying to persuade people that he’s a nice fellow. Because the game’s up and so now it’s about survival!

“It’s very much like the wild dog analogy. A dog backed into a corner is a dangerous dog and actually Theo has suddenly become incredibly unpredictable. I think he’s become hyper-aggressive. I think all his negative traits have suddenly bubbled to the surface.”
Asked whether Theo could kill again – after leaving Billy Mayhew to die in the Corriedale crash in January – James replied: “100% – and I think he could kill Todd. He could definitely kill Carl too. He could kill George. There’s all these people.

“If I was watching it, I would think: ‘He is going to kill some of them because he’s done it before’. Theo knows he’s in trouble now and the story with Billy’s out. So I would say he probably could kill again – it’s highly likely he could kill again.”
Coronation Street star Sue Devaney has insisted that her character Debbie Webster won’t turn murderous in next week’s episodes. Fans are on the lookout for clues following the revelation that one of five characters – Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Maggie Driscoll, Megan Walsh and Theo Silverton – will soon be killed off.
None of the five are winning many friends in Weatherfield, so there’s no shortage of possible killers in the dark storyline. But Sue reckons Debbie won’t be tempted to lash out at her own son…

“Debbie is not capable of killing anybody,” explained Sue, in an exclusive chat with Digital Spy on set. “I mean, she might do by accident, you know! She just slips some arsenic into somebody’s dinner or something!
“But no, she wouldn’t be capable of killing anybody. She’d do it with her words. She’d destroy somebody with language.”
Asked how Debbie would react if Kevin or Ronnie got rid of Carl, she continued: “Oh, Debbie would be in uproar. She’d probably never, ever speak to them again. And I think: ‘Would they be capable of doing that?’ I don’t know.
“You never know because sometimes you can just flip – it just depends on your state of mind.
“Accidents can happen. I mean, if it was an accident and Ronnie came back and said, ‘I accidentally pushed Carl over the top of a cliff, I’m really sorry!’, maybe Debbie then would go ‘Oh it was an accident, it’s fine’. I don’t know!”

While Debbie doesn’t have murder in mind, she is starting to lose patience with Carl’s games and recently paid him off to leave Weatherfield for good.
“I think she’s had enough,” confirmed Sue. “It’s for her own peace of mind. I think he was causing her a lot of pain and causing people around her a lot of pain.
“So I think she just thought: ‘Do you know what? You’re going to have to go because I can’t cope with this anymore. I can’t cope with the lies, I can’t cope with the betrayal. And you haven’t been in my life for a long time, so it’s probably best that you leave it now’.”
While the outcome of next week’s episodes remains a closely-guarded secret, Sue would be gutted if Debbie and Carl’s connection were to be cut short.
Asked whether part of her would like to see Carl stay, she admitted: “Well it’s not part of me, it’s all of me really! All of me wants Carl there. All of Debbie wants Carl there, till Debbie goes.
“She’s put in her will that she wants him to carry her coffin, so hopefully. But who knows? We don’t know, do we?”
