Emmerdale’s Cain Dingle makes major Moira announcement which changes everything

Emmerdale aired a major turning point in Moira Dingle’s ordeal tonight, as Cain Dingle got some game-changing news. Moira has spent most of this year so far in prison after being falsely blamed for double murder and human trafficking.

But tonight, although things took a turn for the worse for Bear Wolf, they do at least seem to be looking up for Moira.

Tonight’s scenes saw Cain receive a very positive phone call. He then told Robert and Aaron that all charges against Moira were finally being dropped. This means that, at last, she’s on her way home.

Earlier this week, viewers watched a guilt-ridden Robert – who played a huge part in her initial arrest – receiving word that Bear had recalled a time when he removed number plates from Ray Walters’ car after finding it splattered in blood, then giving them to Celia Daniels to hide.

That triggered a chain reaction that ended with a secret lock-up being found; packed with IDs, phones and incriminating paperwork from the evil, now-deceased traffickers.

However, tonight, all of that recovered evidence seemed to backfire on Bear; with DS Walsh theorizing that he was Ray’s partner in crime, not his victim. It was suggested that Bear murdered Ray in order to take control of the whole trafficking operation.

With a distressed Bear lashing out at prison staff, it seems that although Moira is now in clear and things are taking a dark turn for him…

Although it was Ray who killed Celia, viewers know that Bear, who had been enslaved in the trafficking operation, was the one who killed Ray — but only to stop the villain from murdering Paddy and Dylan.

As for Moira, next week’s scenes will see her plan some long-overdue alone time with Cain, who feels pressure to perform sexually after his prostate cancer diagnosis.

“Cain can’t cope with the pressure of sex,” our village source explained. “He and Moira finally have the house to themselves, but for Cain, it feels too much like a set-up.

“He suspects Moira has been talking about him – and storms out.”

Will the couple be able to find their groove again?

Things were already bad enough for Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in Emmerdale. He has pretty much lost his wife Moira (Natalie J Robb) after sleeping with Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) – and now he is set to lose much more.

It was the biggest mistake of…well, recently anyway, but he eventually had to confess the truth to Moira after Caleb (William Ash) found out and gave him quite the pasting.

Moira has been left gutted and wants nothing to do with her cheating husband.

After confronting Ruby and having some understanding from her point of view, Moira turned her ire once more on Cain but the tragic news of Amy’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) death, and its impact on Kyle (Huey Quinn), they reluctantly made an alliance.

This went no further than putting on an act to be there for the grieving youngster – but it didn’t last long!

When Mack (Lawrence Robb) made a public jibe to Cain about sleeping with Ruby, he had no idea that Kyle was in earshot.

Already broken from losing his mum, Kyle fled, followed by Cain who tried to deny what had happened.

However, Kyle isn’t stupid and, pointing out that he’s not a young child, he recalled Cain and Moira arguing and reminded him that he slept on the sofa.

As Cain begged him to come home and talk with him, Kyle begged Matty (Ash Palmisciano) and Kerry (Laura Norton) to let him stay with them.

With Cain feeling thoroughly guilty, he has now turned away both his wife and his son.
