EMMERDALE fans were left shocked during Tuesday night’s episode as Dawn Fletcher revealed she was pregnant in a shock twist.

The character, played by Olivia Bromley, dropped the bombshell that she is expecting Joe Tate’s baby.

And it came at the perfect time for Joe, with the revelation getting him out of a very sticky situation.

In an attempt to get revenge on Joe for blackmailing Robert Sugden, Moira Dingle decided to hold him at gunpoint and threatened to shoot him in dramatic scenes.

But luckily for Joe, Dawn arrived and managed to drop news so shocking that it had Moira standing down.

In an attempt to get her to put the gun down, Dawn told Moira: “Whatever he’s done, I’ll make him pay – but don’t make me pay.

“Don’t make our baby pay. I’m pregnant.”

With Moira skeptical, Dawn then proved herself by pulling out the positive pregnancy test.

“Let this kid have a dad,” she begged.

The news worked, with Moira putting down the gun and promptly leaving the scene.

Whilst Joe was then ready to celebrate the news he was expecting a little one, the altercation left Dawn suspicious as she asked why Moira was targeting him.

Joe continued to claim that he didn’t know, rather than being honest with his other half.

Dawn and Joe’s relationship began as an affair during her marriage to Billy Fletcher.

The affair was exposed to the village last May.

Since then, the couple have been in a tumultuous romance, which saw them get engaged over Christmas in 2025.

But with Joe not being fully honest with Dawn about his antics when it comes to Moira, things look to be far from smooth sailing in weeks to come.
