BREAKING NEWS!!! EastEnders reveals new Julie secret ahead of emotional Nigel discovery

EastEnders Soap Scoop! Cindy and Max’s next step
EastEnders’ Phil Mitchell and Julie Bates grieve and struggle to cope in the wake of Nigel’s death next week. As Julie collects her beloved husband’s belongings, she keeps it secret from Phil, worried how he’ll react. Can Phil step up to support Julie?
“Julie is lost without Nigel,” says our Walford insider. “But she’s trying to stay strong for Phil’s sake. Nigel was such a strong support for Phil’s mental health crisis that she’s scared how he’ll cope…”

Phil is also feeling low in the week after Nigel’s passing and leans on brother Grant for support. But when Phil asks Grant to spend some time with him, his brother is in a foul mood and he rejects Phil’s offer as he struggles to make progress with son Mark.
Meanwhile, Julie faces the heartbreaking prospect of clearing out Nigel’s room at the care home. She makes the difficult decision not to tell Phil, cautious about protecting his mental health. However, the community rally round Nigel’s loved ones after his death, meaning Julie is not alone…
“Kat offers her support to Julie,” reveals our source. “Julie breaks down in the Minute Mart and Kat’s there as her shoulder to cry on. Julie reveals she’s been asked to clear out Nigel’s room, and Kat wants to know why Phil isn’t helping…”

Despite Julie’s protests, Kat storms round to No. 55 to give her ex-husband a piece of her mind – and encourages him to step up and help Julie in her hour of need. Before long, Phil and Sam head to the care home to support Julie as she collects Nigel’s things.
“Julie’s so grateful,” explains our insider. “She’s come to think of the Mitchells as family. But it doesn’t make saying goodbye to Nigel any easier, especially when she discovers he’s written her a letter…”

In amongst Nigel’s belongings, Julie finds a note addressed to her. Realising Nigel must’ve written this a long time ago, before his illness robbed him of his memories, Julie is choked up to see his handwriting. Knowing that the contents of the letter will be too hard to bear, Julie puts it away, unable to read it.
Will sort sorting through Nigel’s things bring Phil and Julie peace and help them grieve Nigel?
