BIG NEWS!!! EastEnders return confirmed for huge villain in George storyline
EastEnders‘ George Knight will face a horrific reunion later this spring, with the return of his adoptive father Eddie Knight. The villainous character was last seen in 2024, after it was revealed that he murdered George’s biological dad Henry Asare in the ’80s.
At first, George was unaware of the victim’s identity and believed it was a racially aggravated attack. He later discovered that Eddie had killed Henry to prevent him from taking George back to his biological family.

Following a trial, Eddie was found guilty of committing the heinous crime and was sentenced to life imprisonment. However, the soap has now confirmed that he will be returning to our screens soon, with actor Christopher Fairbank reprising his role.
In a statement to The Sun, an EastEnders spokesperson said: “We can confirm Christopher Fairbank will be returning to EastEnders for a short stint later this spring.”
Fairbank has reportedly already begun filming his scenes on the show and will make an appearance in the coming weeks. The reason for Eddie’s return is still unclear, but it will likely have a huge impact on George and the Knight family.

Meanwhile, George is currently preoccupied with the birth of his daughter Ivy, who was delivered prematurely this month. After Nicola Mitchell went into early labour, she was taken to the hospital and given an emergency cesarean.

Born at just 31 weeks, baby Ivy was rushed to the NICU and kept under strict observation in an incubator. Though George was able to visit the baby, Nicola was heartbroken to learn that she had caught the flu and had to keep her distance.
Fortunately, Nicola’s temperature went down after a few days, and she was finally able to hold her newborn. The parents decided they would push any lingering feelings for each other aside and make Ivy their number one priority.
Will Eddie’s shocking return take George’s attention away from his daughter? And why exactly is he making a comeback now?
It’s Mother’s Day in next week’s EastEnders episodes, but George Knight is left in turmoil. The week kicks off with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) excited about celebrating the special day with three of children, Gina, Anna and Peter, being together for the first time.
However, over The Queen Vic, George (played by Colin Salmon) is struggling to cope after he’s informed that no DNA matches have been found for him and there’s no trace of his birth family. Elaine Peacock (Harriett Thorpe) and his ex-wife Cindy insist that the time has come for George to tell the girls the truth about his heritage before they head to Jamaica, and he reluctantly agrees.
Gina (Francesca Henry) and Anna (Molly Rainford) are horrified when George shares his history and are furious to discover the truth about Eddie and the trial. As viewers will know, George recently discovered his adoptive dad Eddie killed his real-dad in a frenzied racial attack.
Eddie was only being nice to his adoptive son George so he would be a character witness and give a defence statement in court for the historic murder to get him off the hook. But George had disagreed to take part.
