Coronation Street‘s Theo Silverton might have his murderous sights set on Carl Webster as the soap readies to reveal the victim of Murder Mystery Week. Carl is one of five potential victims of Corrie‘s new whodunit alongside Theo, Megan Walsh, Jodie Ramsey and Maggie Driscoll.
After Carl triggered a dementia episode in Debbie and tried to scam Summer Spellman out of her inheritance, there’s no shortage of people in Weatherfield who might want to get rid of him.
In today’s episode, currently available to watch on ITVX, Carl is set to spoils Theo’s chances of a family reconciliation with his son Miles, but will this put a target on his back?
The new scenes see Carl overhear Theo begging Miles to speak with his mum so they can give it another shot as a family. Corrie fans know that abusive Theo left his family for Todd Grimshaw, with the two getting married earlier this year.
Theo has displayed increasingly coercive and violent behaviour towards Todd, who finally managed to escape his spouse’s clutches and is planning a trip to Thailand to visit his mum Eileen and brother James. But will Theo try and stop him? 
Now alone, Theo is desperately seeking someone to cling on to, trying to mend his broken relationship with Miles.
However, his plan goes awry when Carl spots the father-son duo talking and pretends to be Theo’s new boyfriend. An upset Miles storms off as Theo runs after him, though not before he throws Carl a look of pure hatred.
Later on, Theo catches up with Carl. As the two men square up to each other, Kit Green intervenes.
In recent scenes, Corrie has confirmed that Carl holds incriminating information about Theo, having overheard him confess to the murder of Billy Mayhew.
As Carl has now pulled a ruse that might further isolate Theo, will this be the last straw for Billy’s killer? And could he strike again?
