TODAY’S BIG STORY!!! EastEnders confirms Ravi’s diagnosis in next chapter of mental health story

EastEnders Soap Scoop! Nigel passes away
EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati begins to see some light at the end of the tunnel next week, as he seeks professional help after months of psychological trauma. Having been brought back from the brink after he almost took his own life, can Ravi finally find a way to process his pain?

“Ravi had a complete breakdown after the dramatic events of this week, including a horrific car crash,” reflects our EastEnders insider. “Now he’s been admitted to a mental health unit, Priya and the kids are praying Ravi can find some peace at last. But has too much damage already been done?”

Ravi’s descent into self-harm and destructive behaviour came to a horrifying head when he disappeared from the hospital after the crash. His loved ones managed to talk him down from the edge of a bridge, but he was devastated when he was then sectioned by the police.
Thankfully, Ravi is now safely in a mental health unit, but the struggles for him and his loved ones are far from over. Back on the Square, Priya is doing her best to keep the family from completely falling apart and carry on as best they can without Ravi.
Reeling from recent revelations about Nugget’s attack earlier this year, he and Avani are deeply concerned for their dad, so Priya desperately tries to reassure them he’s in the best place possible.
Meanwhile, in the unit, troubled Ravi reflects on what brought him there. Finally ready to open up about his turmoil, he speaks candidly to the doctor in an emotional one-to-one about everything he’s been through. Proud Ravi feels he failed at protecting his family, and as all his anxiety and remorse floods out, he starts to make sense of his condition…

“Ravi is formally diagnosed with complex PTSD,” reveals our source. “He begins therapy, and there’s hope he might be able to come through this. However, this is the first step on a long journey, and it’s not just Ravi who’s on it…”

The pressure of supporting Ravi also takes its toll on Priya. She has a lot of explaining to do as far as Max is concerned, after she stole a car from the lot – and caused the crash that involved him, Cindy and baby Jimmy.
Could unstable Ravi’s risky antics mean she has to fight for her job? And having already navigated numerous tough times, can fragile Ravi’s relationship with Priya survive all this stress?
EastEnders’ Ravi Gulati hits rock bottom next week as his mental health deteriorates and causes a shocking accident. Unable to cope with the guilt of attacking his own son, spiralling Ravi takes drastic action – and there are far-reaching consequences for more than one Walford family…

Ravi’s been struggling ever since he beat up Nugget while in the grips of a drug-induced hallucination, which triggered his son’s epilepsy. Nugget still has no idea his father was behind his life-changing assault and is struggling to live with his condition.
Priya has tried her best to support her troubled other half, but is aware she’s out of her depth. Insisting Ravi needs to see a professional, Priya persuades him to go to the doctors next week.
Back on the Square, Nugget confronts Will and his mates for sharing a shocking video. The clip shows Nugget suffering a seizure, and the teen is so humiliated he runs off.
When Ravi gets wind of this, he tracks down his boy and takes him home, promising to protect him from any further harm. But there is more upset ahead…
“Ravi is almost manic as he orders his family to stay home all day and spend time together,” reveals our insider. “It’s his way of trying to keep them safe and make up for what he did to Nugget.
“When he refuses to let anyone leave, Priya can see he’s losing it. The already tense atmosphere worsens when Nugget makes a discovery, leading to a dramatic confrontation between father and son that throws the clan into crisis…”
Knowing that what Nugget has found out could destroy her family, Priya tries to sneak out to get help. She is caught by anxious Ravi, he tells her she’s not safe unless she stays with him – so Priya tries a different tactic.
She tells Ravi maybe it’s best if they all left Walford together, with the sneaky intention to get her partner some much-needed support. Finally free from the flat, Priya pinches a car from the lot and bundles Ravi and the kids inside.
As Priya drives, Ravi realises she’s heading to hospital and cottons on that he’s been tricked. The pair argue, then Nugget suffers a seizure…
“Priya gets distracted and the situation escalates,” warns our source. “She takes her eye off the road for a second and loses control of the car – crashing into Max, Cindy and Jimmy returning from nursery!”
While the crash victims assess the damage, Ravi flees the scene. Priya tries to locate her lover, and eventually finds him on the bridge, utterly broken. She manages to talk him down, but can Ravi finally get the proper help he needs?
