THE COBBLES ARE HAUNTED BY HORROR AS THE GRISLY AFTERMATH OF THEO’S BRUTAL D.E.A.T.H IS FINALLY EXPOSED IN A SH0CKING NEW REVEAL 🚔😱🩸

Coronation Street has revealed the immediate aftermath of Theo Silverton’s death in its latest episode, as residents of Weatherfield – including Todd Grimshaw – discover his lifeless body.

“So what happens now?” Todd asked George Shuttleworth as the scene cut to indoors, where he was surrounded by his loved ones, and detective Kit Green.

“Sorry, that’s a stupid question for a funeral director, I know what happens now, but I meant… Shuttleworth’s can’t pick up the body.”

George told him that a different funeral company will deal with that, while the rest of them grieve.

“Whatever we all thought of Theo, and I hated him as much as anyone, but you’ll still need to grieve”, George said, although the expressions on everyone’s faces showed they felt otherwise.

Later on, Todd explained the events of the previous night, and touched on how Theo had threatened to kill himself multiple times.

When George and Summer Spellman said it was just Theo’s way of abusing and controlling Todd, he spoke up, asking if they really think Theo killed himself to hurt Todd as his “final act” of cruelty.

When Mary Taylor suggested he had been murdered due to all the enemies he had made, Todd felt uneasy at the thought that people might think he did it.

Later on, Todd stressed that someone needs to tell Theo’s ex-wife and kids, but Christina and George said they’d handle it rather than Todd go through with it, and got emotional when the photos from the wedding arrived in the post.

“Why am I getting upset over him? Last night I thought he was… he wanted to kill me”, Todd said, admitting that he was confused about how he was feeling. “I miss him. I want him. I wish I could go back to last night and what happened… I… I wish that it was him here, not you.”

Although Todd made his apologies to everyone who just trying to comfort him, it was obvious he has a long way to go before he can start to process and recover.

Meanwhile, Kit and Lisa Swain received the pathology report which revealed that the blunt force trauma happened before the fall, revealing that it was indeed a murder.

As their duo’s dialogue played out, the scene showed multiple suspects — Gary Windass, George, Summer, Christina, a returned Danielle — before settling on Todd. In Kit’s voiceover, he admitted that if he had been through what Theo put Todd through, he’d kill the one who did.

Coronation Street unleashes a new chapter of Theo Silverton’s manipulation tonight – as he lies to Todd Grimshaw about people blaming him for Billy Mayhew’s death. With Todd so vulnerable, will he believe Theo’s malicious claim?

Controlling Theo has been fighting to save his relationship with Todd, who was ready to leave him before the recent road crash in Corriedale. Not for the first time, Theo has promised to change after months of abusing Todd behind closed doors – but viewers know that he’s not to be trusted.

In Thursday’s visit to the cobbles, there’s some welcome respite for Todd when Summer Spellman arrives at the flat.

Todd and Summer are united in their grief for Billy, who lost his life amid the crash chaos. And with Summer around, Theo has to be mindful of his behaviour to avoid arousing any further suspicion.

As Summer settles in, she asks if she can stay the night as she doesn’t want to be alone. Theo masks his true feelings by promising that she’s welcome for as long as she likes.

Once Summer is out of the room for a moment, though, Theo’s evil behaviour resurfaces as he tries to insinuate that Todd is facing a backlash over Billy’s demise.

“I hope you’re not blaming yourself,” Theo says, spitefully. “I know some people are blaming you – [saying] ‘Todd wanted to leave early.’

“But you weren’t to know what would happen, were you? Life is just a random series of meaningless events, innit?”

Todd is left troubled by Theo’s sly remark – will he take it as proof that his scheming partner hasn’t really changed? Or will he be tricked into thinking that friends and neighbours really do resent him for Billy’s death?

Billy was driving a minibus of guests home from Debbie Webster and Ronnie Bailey’s wedding when the crash happened. The passengers departed earlier than planned, as Todd had asked Billy for help with packing up his things and leaving Theo.

Theo made his way into the vehicle at the last second, thwarting Todd’s plan. After the crash, the villain dodged an opportunity to save Billy and ruthlessly left him to die.

“Hats off to Dan Brocklebank, who obviously shot his final scenes for this episode,” ITV soap boss Iain MacLeod said after the episode. “He was an amazing presence in the show, both on and off screen.

“So that was a big ending, but it’s also the beginning of us realising the true depths of depravity to which Theo might sink.”
