REST IN LOVE EastEnders legend Charlie Brooks reveals heartbreaking family loss as she pays tribute to late nan

SOAP star Charlie Brooks has revealed a heartbreaking family loss as she shares emotional tribute. 

The actress, famed for playing Janine Butcher in EastEnders, shared the devastating news that her nanny Jean had sadly passed away.

The BBC star revealed the loss earlier this week, telling fans of the fond memories she shared and how she will “miss” her nan.

Alongside a sweet slide show of special moments the pair had together, she penned: “We say goodbye to nanny Jean today.

“She took me to see my first ‘profesh’ show, Copacabana.”

The heartbroken star posted pics of the pair spending time in the party destination Ibiza together.

Charlie added: “She was a mum of 4 boys. She tap danced, and swam, travelled the world, had it large with me in Ibiza, was fiercely independent and did things exactly the way she wanted to do things. No f**** given.”

“I’ll miss her. Today is a celebration of her 90 years.

“I’ll see you again one day Nan.”

Charlie’s famous pals rushed to support her, with Kellie Bright writing: Sending you all the love (heart emoji).”

Fellow EastEnders star Simone Lahbib penned: “So sorry for your loss lovely.”

As well as Lucy Speed who echoed the same sentiment, she wrote: “You are from an epic line of women Charlie and they certainly live on in you! Sending you all my love Xx”

It follows another blow for Charlie in recent times, with the BBC star splitting from her TV producer boyfriend just weeks after going public with their relationship last year.

The TV star had made her romance public as she cosied up to James Fuller during a walk in London.

James later added his own snap of him and Charlie holding hands alongside a love heart emoji.

Producer James, known for working on a string of high-profile adverts, is believed to have met Charlie the summer prior.

But in February last year, the pair had gone their separate ways, with James calling Charlie an “amicable ex girlfriend.”

A source at the time told The Sun: “They’re still really close but she wanted to concentrate on Dancing On Ice.”

Charlie appeared on the ice skating competition at the same time last year placing sixth alongside her dance partner Eric Radford.

“It’s very demanding and she’s training six days a week. It’s hard to keep a romantic relationship going with all the hard work she’s putting in but they’re still best friends.”
