NEW HEARBREAKING!!! EastEnders airs tragic split as Ravi Gulati story takes another major turn
Ravi Gulati’s harrowing mental health storyline continues in EastEnders with the tragic breakdown of his relationship with Priya Nandra-Hart. Tonight’s (27 April) episode began with Ravi in the mental health unit, where he has been diagnosed with complex PTSD and has begun therapy.
At home, Priya attempts to reason with their son Nugget, who says his father is now a “laughing stock” after everything that happened.

“He’s been fixated on safety because he never felt safe himself,” Priya explained, but Nugget doesn’t seem convinced.
In the unit, Ravi receives his diagnosis, asking the doctor if he is “weak” and opening up on the trauma he experienced as a child with a dad who “didn’t love him”.
The doctor asks if he is excited to see Priya later, to which Ravi says he “needs to keep a distance” to “protect them from him” because he is “poison” and they “deserve to be happy”.

Ravi becomes agitated when he’s asked if he recognises a problematic pattern with the paternal figures in his life, saying that he does not, because they are all dead.

While Ravi remains fixated on a puzzle, Priya assures him that everything will be okay and that the professionals will help him as well as her.
He says she shouldn’t have come and says she is going to set him off, before ending their relationship.
Priya says she won’t let him do that and that she loves him, to which Ravi replies that he doesn’t love her and that he “needs to work alone” because it’s the “only way”.
She returns home and opens up to Suki Panesar that Ravi has dumped her, saying “everything is in pieces” and she “doesn’t know how to fix it”.
Will Ravi see that his family loves and wants to support him, or will he continue to self-sabotage?

It’s another rough week in EastEnders for Ravi Gulati, as his past finally catches up with him, and things turn violent after he’s kidnapped in shocking scenes.
After a chaotic few weeks filled with betrayals, accusations, and tension in the Panesar household, next week’s episodes see Ravi pushed to the edge. Meanwhile, Suki and Eve face their own drama as their long-awaited adoption assessment goes completely off the rails.
Trouble brews at No. 41
Suki and Eve start the week nervously preparing for their adoption assessment, desperate to make a good impression on social worker Robin. They’re hoping to show that they’ve created a calm, loving home, but with the Panesars, that’s never going to be simple.
Ravi’s still living under their roof, and after all the drama he’s brought lately, tensions are already running high. Suki and Eve try to keep things friendly for the sake of the visit, but the atmosphere’s awkward from the start.
Things actually seem to be going okay for a while, until Priya shows up and blows it all apart.

Just as everyone’s starting to relax, Priya barges in mid-assessment, shouting the odds about Ravi and making it very clear she’s had enough of him.
The whole situation goes downhill fast. Suki and Eve are horrified as Robin looks on, clearly unimpressed, while Avani and Nugget jump in to defend their parents. Before anyone knows it, the living room has turned into a full-blown family row, and the adoption meeting is in tatters.
Suki desperately tries to calm everyone down, but it’s no use. When Robin finally leaves, it’s clear the damage has been done.
Suki and Eve reach breaking point
After the disastrous assessment, Eve admits to Suki that something has to change. She points out that if they want to adopt and give a child a stable home, they can’t have constant chaos, and that means Ravi has to go.
It’s not an easy decision for Suki, who’s torn between wanting to support Ravi and wanting a fresh start with Eve. But in the end, she knows Eve’s right. The pair agree to ask Ravi to move out, hoping that cutting ties might finally bring them some peace.
Ravi takes the news surprisingly well. He tells them he understands and doesn’t want to cause more trouble. But behind his calm reaction, he’s clearly defeated and fed up, yet another door closing in his face.
Things take a dark turn…

Just when it seems Ravi might quietly slip away, the situation takes a twist. A group of men suddenly turn up at the door and drag him away. Suki, Eve and the rest of the family are left frozen in shock as Ravi disappears.
Later, Ravi eventually makes his way back to the Square, battered, bruised, and barely able to stand. Whatever happened while he was gone, it’s clear he’s been badly beaten.
For once, Ravi’s swagger is gone. The experience leaves him shaken, a far cry from the confident, smooth-talking man viewers are used to seeing.
A glimmer of good news
Amid the chaos, Suki and Eve are stunned when Robin returns with unexpected news. Despite the drama, they’ve been approved to move forward to the next stage of the adoption process.
It’s a rare bit of good fortune for the couple after such a disastrous week, though the joy is clearly mixed with guilt and worry over what’s happened to Ravi.

Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) was left very worried about partner Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) wellbeing in EastEnders as he broke down in her arms, admitting that he sees ‘no escape’ .
Ravi, who is operating as an informant for the police, has been struggling with his mental health after discovering that he unknowingly attacked son Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) while under the influence of drugs.
He was spiked by Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), who was acting on behalf of son Harry (Elijah Hollway), hellbent on revenge for what he did to the young mechanic last year.
The realisation that Nugget was hospitalised as a result of an attack he carried out left Ravi devastated and he began to self-harm.
Nugget’s subsequent diagnosis with epilepsy left him feeling all the more to blame and, after a particularly tough day – which saw him struggle to secure employment while Nugget had another fit – Ravi was not in a good place.
After going to the pharmacy to pick up his son’s medication as per Priya’s instructions, Ravi was devastated to learn that there had been an issue with dispensing the medication.
Refusing to return home to his partner empty-handed, he locked the door and ordered pharmacist Daniel to solve the issue, making it clear that no-one would be leaving until he got what he came for.

Nugget was horrified and pleaded with his dad to let everyone go, while Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) – who had been picking up prescriptions of their own at the time of the incident – were similarly terrified.
With Daniel failing to locate the medication, a desperate Ravi began searching for himself, telling Nugget to give him a hand. But unable to find anything, the patriarch broke down in tears and said that he was ‘no good for anyone’.
Nugget assured his dad that he loves him and that he looks up to him while Denise discreetly texted Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), who notified Priya of the situation unfolding at the pharmacy.
As Nugget located the medication, Priya and Jack arrived at the premises, ordering Ravi to unlock the door.

Jack pulled some strings to avoid an arrest for Ravi to avoid sabotaging his secret informant work for the police. Nugget, meanwhile, was incredibly worried about his dad while Priya assured him that his dad will be okay.
But shortly afterwards, she came to realise just how much Ravi was struggling. ‘I feel like a fly trapped under a glass’, he said in emotional scenes. ‘There’s no escape. Whichever way I turn I keep hitting the sides.’
An agitated Ravi started to hit himself as a shocked Priya pleaded with him to stop, taking hold of him as he broke down in her arms. ‘There’s no escape!’ he said repeatedly as Priya offered support, realising just how much her partner isn’t coping.
Will she be able to help Ravi get the support he needs?
