JUSTICE IS FINALLY SERVED AS THE FIRST SUSPECT IN THEO’S MUR*DER IS DRAGGED AWAY IN HANDCUFFS 🚓💨⛓️
Coronation Street‘s George Shuttleworth becomes the first major suspect in the mystery over Theo Silverton’s death tonight.
The local undertaker faces scrutiny following a damning discovery in the laundry basket at No.11, which hints that he has something to hide.
Trouble unfolds as George’s partner Christina Boyd finds the jumper that he changed out of on the night of the murder.

The item of clothing has visible blood stains, so Christina makes a risky plan to make sure that it’s not spotted by the police when they pay an unexpected visit.
Sadly, with DS Connor-Swain on the case, it’s not long before she’s caught red-handed…
As George is arrested and ordered to explain himself at the police station, he points out that Theo was injured during an earlier altercation in the flat.

George and Todd Grimshaw have both been open with the coppers about how they were forced to overpower Theo in self-defence, locking him in the bedroom.
Unfortunately for George, DS Connor-Swain can spot inconsistencies in his story and doesn’t seem fully convinced by what he’s saying.
Could George have been responsible for Theo’s death? Fans can see how the interrogation plays out in full when the episode airs tonight on ITV1, or it’s streaming early now on ITVX.

Earlier this week, Corrie bosses put George on an official list of six suspects for the murder alongside Todd, Christina, Gary Windass, Summer Spellman and Danielle Silverton.
Fans can expect George to fiercely protest his innocence, but this could be a cover for a deadly crime.
A Corrie statement recently teased: “Everyone on the street is struggling to comprehend that one of their own is a murderer, but for the suspects, the fight is to keep their secrets hidden. This month, the pressure mounts to a breaking point as the hunt for Theo’s killer commences.
“This week will see Todd, George and Gary face a grilling, and in the coming weeks, Summer, Christina and Danielle follow in their footsteps.”
Todd Grimshaw and Theo Silverton’s special Coronation Street episode is available on ITVX today (Monday, December 15) and a huge arrest has been made on the cobbles.
However, it’s not the arrest viewers would’ve hoped for. Sadly, Todd Grimshaw was actually the one to be taken down to the station.
And, in a huge twist, it was Theo who ended up looking like a domestic abuse victim instead of Todd.

Police called to Todd and Theo’s flat in Coronation Street ITVX episode
Today on the cobbles, Todd and Theo’s special episode aired. The whole hour was seen through a number of different cameras in a huge format change.
In the flat, Theo continued to control his partner by isolating him from his friends, telling him what he could and couldn’t eat, forcing him to train for his 5k, breaking his phone and losing his temper on him.
When Todd fought back and told Theo he was ready to leave him, Theo locked Todd in the bedroom for the entire night.
Todd continued to stand up to Theo, resulting in him pushing him. Theo, however, ended up cutting his head on some glass and was knocked out unconscious.
Bernie had heard a lot of shouting and fighting coming from the flat. She then called the police after knocking the door and receiving no answer.
It wasn’t long before the police then burst on the scene and took Todd down to the station.

Todd arrested in huge Coronation Street twist
At the police station, Kit Green questioned Todd over the incident at the flat. But, Todd made out that he and Theo were arguing as all couples do. He then said that he’d had to defend himself as Theo could be really strong when things got physical.
Leaving out the domestic abuse he’d endured for months on end, Todd failed to tell the full story and was arrested.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Theo was told that his head wound wasn’t serious. He called on George and Christina to comfort him. Of course, this was another bid to get Todd’s friends on his side.
The police then wondered whether Theo was telling the truth when he explained that it was just a silly argument that got out of hand, giving Theo some information for domestic abuse victim support. Yes, we know right?! They’re looking at the wrong guy!
Once Todd was let go, the couple returned to the flat where Theo told Todd that he didn’t recognise him anymore and that he was a completely changed man.
As he went to pick up a photo of them both smiling together, he came across one of Todd’s secret cameras and confronted him about it. As the episode wrapped up, we can’t help worrying that Theo’s anger might put Todd in serious danger.
