HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! Coronation Street airs major exit clue on ITVX as Maggie threatens Megan

Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Todd’s escape plan
Coronation Street airs a possible clue to next week’s murder tonight as Maggie Driscoll fantasises about getting rid of Megan Walsh forever. Maggie and Megan have both been named on a list of five characters who could lose their life at the end of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding day next Thursday (23 April).
The aftermath of the wedding ceremony sees an ominous moment as Carla and Lisa hear the sound of a scream in the distance. They don’t realise that it’s Lisa’s daughter Betsy, who’s horrified after discovering a dead body.

In tonight’s episode, Maggie and Eva Price briefly find common ground as they agree that all of the Driscolls took their eyes off the ball when it came to Megan.
The clan are currently picking up the pieces following the disturbing revelation that Will Driscoll was groomed by Megan after she was appointed as his sports coach.
“She’s brought such misery to this family,” Maggie points out. “Slithering in like a snake, pretending to be everybody’s friend
“Well I’ll tell you something for nothing – if I ever see her again, no-one will be able to stop me from throttling her.”

The timing couldn’t be worse as DS Lisa Swain then arrives at The Rovers to share a routine update on Will’s case – overhearing every word.
Maggie quickly backtracks, insisting that she was simply letting off steam, but could this scene have been included as a clue to the future? With tensions running so high between Maggie and Megan, they’re surely ones to watch as we head towards next week’s episodes.
Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey and Theo Silverton are the other three characters who’ll face danger in the upcoming plot.

Following the wedding on 23 April, show bosses have announced a week of special episodes, with each focusing on a different possible victim.
“Across five nights later this month, viewers will revisit the same day but each episode will be seen from the perspective of a different potential victim,” a Corrie statement recently teased.
“At the end of the week Betsy Swain will find one of them dead and the hunt to find the killer will begin.”
Coronation Street has officially confirmed a shocking storyline rumour – Ben Driscoll could be Steve McDonald’s secret half-brother.
The bombshell twist is revealed in the closing moments of Thursday’s episode, when Maggie is confronted by one of Jim McDonald’s old friends.
After several days of strange behaviour, Maggie is spooked as the day of Jim’s funeral brings buried secrets back to the surface.
When the mourners head back to The Rovers to raise a toast to Jim, anxious Maggie tries her best to keep a low profile. With Jim’s army mates Declan and Davey among the guests, Maggie is clearly worried about potentially being recognised.
Sure enough, Declan bides his time before cornering Maggie in the pub’s back yard – revealing that he knows she’s a woman that Jim had an affair with years ago.
“You’re familiar – older, but familiar,” Declan notes. “You were a pal of his – Jim McDonald.
“Margaret, isn’t it? ‘My wee Maggie’, he’d say. The big secret. He was a married man – you knew that, with two young boys. You were awful lucky that nobody caught on.”
Maggie bluffs that Declan is mistaken, but he’s quick to dismiss her denials. Although he promises Maggie that he won’t rock the boat by exposing her secret, he makes it very clear that he isn’t fooled.
News of the twist first leaked out last month, when reports revealed that Jim fathered Ben during his affair with Maggie. Since then, we’ve seen several scenes where Maggie appeared to be acting strangely around the McDonalds.
Maggie previously became unsettled over Ben’s growing friendship with Steve and tried her best to keep them apart.
She has also bitterly opposed the idea of her grandson Ollie dating Steve’s daughter Amy Barlow, knowing that they could be secret cousins.
For now, nobody else knows Maggie’s messy backstory – but as she’s one of the characters who could be murdered next month, could skeletons start falling out of her closet sooner rather than later?
