Emmerdale reveals Moira’s surprising new feud after prison release

Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Charity’s dramatic labour
Emmerdale‘s Moira Dingle became embroiled in a surprising new feud following her release from prison. The character has been behind bars for most of the year after being falsely blamed for human trafficking and double murder, but was released earlier this week.
Home now looks slightly different for Moira after she controversially – yet understandably – sold Butler’s Farm to the Tates, with Joe subsequently handing the reins over to Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle.

Tonight’s episode of the ITV soap saw Moira struggle with her decision after moving into her new home at Wishing Well Cottage, with Sam, Lydia and the others being present for a series of comedic clashes.
In the morning, Moira complained that Belle had taken too long in the shower, asking Lydia if she could use the bathroom next. After Lydia told her that there was a rota, Moira quipped: “Ah, yeah. Just didn’t realise I was still in prison.”
The pair clashed again after Lydia made rabbit stew, with Moira informing her that Isaac wouldn’t eat it if it had peas in it. When Lydia expressed concern that Isaac wasn’t eating enough green vegetables, Moira was offended at being told how to parent her own child.
Moira op ened up to Cain about how she was feeling, saying: “This isn’t funny, Cain. I’m sure she was criticising our parenting skills.” While Moira was complaining about having to “tiptoe” around people, Lydia came down the stairs and overheard everything.

Moira said: “If I’m honest, I just feel like we, as a family, need, you know, a bit of space.” When the argument got heated, Lydia asked: “Well, why don’t you go back to prison if it’s that bad?”
A frustrated Cain implored Moira to be kinder to his family, but she stormed out of the house. With a potential new feud on the cards, will Moira and Cain make up? And can she learn to live with his family?
Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) has had a less than enjoyable return to Emmerdale village after finally walking free from prison.
Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) planted passports of enslaved workers in her living room, leading to months behind bars on a double murder and human trafficking charge. He’d been forced to commit the act by Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), who was blackmailing his sister Vic (Isabel Hodgins) into handing over her share of Moira’s homestead Butler’s Farm.
As viewers saw, vile Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) was keeping a number of vulnerable people captive in the attic space of her farmhouse.
The workers – including Paddy Dingle’s (Dominic Brunt) dad Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) – were forced to live in squalor while working long hours, and were often on the receiving end of Celia’s son Ray Walters’s (Joe Absolom) abuse.
Moira was prepared to plead guilty to lessen her sentence, something which left Robert guilt-ridden and desperate to find evidence that could help show that she was innocent. During a chat with Bear, he discovered that there were some car registration plates that had seemingly vanished into thin air and could prove crucial in his plight.

With some intel from Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah), he tracked down the plates to a storage unit in Hotten and passed them onto the police. However, DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) warned that the new evidence could take some time to process, and advised contacting Moira’s solicitor.
In today’s episode, husband Cain (Jeff Hordley) received some welcome news. Moira was making her way home, with all of the charges being dropped.
The Dingles were overjoyed with the prospect of her returning to Wishing Well, but were well aware that a lot had changed during he
It’s safe to say she was overwhelmed by the wider family’s hospitality, and decided to go and spend some time paying tribute to late daughter Holly at her memorial tree.
Cain had to break some awful news – in an act of revenge, Joe had felled the tree and cleared the flowers and tributes to one side.
A tearful Moira laid some flowers on the stump of the tree, before marching around to Butler’s Farm – now known as Emmerdale Farm – to see what had happened to her old home. She found it empty, but was soon met by Robert and Joe.
Before she had opportunity to respond to Joe’s barbed comments, they could smell burning coming from one of the barns. With thanks to Moira’s quick thinking, they were able to extinguish the blaze – and Robert wasn’t convinced by Joe’s claim that he wasn’t responsible.
Will Moira look to seek revenge?
Emmerdale teases new hope for Moira Dingle tonight ahead of her plea hearing, as her loved ones discover evidence to help prove her innocence. However, despite the valiant effort to clear her name, Moira’s freedom isn’t quite guaranteed. Could pleading guilty still be her best option?
In tonight’s episode, Robert Sugden is racked with guilt over his part in Moira’s arrest and the effect it has had on her family. He gets ready to hand himself into the police but is interrupted by Paddy Dingle who has Bear Wolf on the phone.
Bear recalls removing number plates off Ray Walters’ car after finding it splattered in blood, before giving them to Celia Daniels to hide. Aaron Dingle persuades Robert to let him investigate the new information before he gives his confession.
Meanwhile, after an impassioned speech from Marlon Dingle, Cain tries to convince his wife to change her plea, but she remains firm in her decision.
“It’s not about whether I’m innocent. We are way past that. I have taken this plea deal because it’s the least horrible option!” Moira cries, begging him to support her.
With the help of Kammy Hadiq, Aaron and Robert manage to trace the number plates to a storage unit in Hotten, but struggle to locate the correct container. Fortunately, Marlon remembers finding a key at Celia’s farm and the race to save Moira is back on.
“Ray and Celia had a secret lock-up and we’ve found it! IDs, phones, piles and piles of paperwork in different names. At least half a dozen computers,” Marlon tells Cain.
Cain staggers out of his hospital bed and rushes to court to stop Moira from pleading guilty, convinced there is now enough evidence to clear her name.
However, back at the storage unit, the police arrive to examine the evidence for processing. In a disappointing update, DS Walsh explains that all new findings have to be presented formally in court after being reviewed – meaning nothing will change for Moira today.
Cain arrives at the court as Moira is being escorted inside and tells her about the recent development. He assures her she doesn’t need to plead guilty anymore. But will she decide to take the risk?
