BREAKING NEWS!!! EastEnders confirms unexpected new romance as war turns to passion

Things take a very unexpected turn in EastEnders tonight as months of arguments, sabotage, and rivalry between Ian Beale and Elaine Peacock suddenly explode into something neither of them sees coming.
After weeks of clashing over the local council election, the pair are left completely stunned when their feud takes a passionate turn in the episode’s final minutes.
Election day chaos sweeps through Walford as both Ian and Elaine make one last push to win over voters. Determined to secure victory, Ian’s partner Bea throws herself into the campaign, pestering locals and doing everything possible to drum up support.
But there’s already tension hanging over Ian after the fallout from the smear campaign video Bea posted online, which targeted Elaine and even dragged Linda’s past struggles into the drama. Realising things may have gone too far, Ian uploads an apology video and later attempts to apologise to Elaine face-to-face once again.
Still deeply hurt and furious over the situation, Elaine isn’t interested in hearing him out. And honestly, after everything that’s happened between them lately, it’s not hard to see why.

The pair’s rivalry has been bubbling away for months ever since Ian became annoyed over Elaine’s huge billboard advertising the B&B breakfast menu, convinced it would take business away from his café and pie shop. Since then, they’ve been constantly trying to outdo one another, with things quickly turning personal.
There have been moments where it almost looked like they were finally finding common ground. Elaine even agreed to point guests towards Ian’s businesses, and the pair recently shared a surprisingly relaxed tea together at the B&B before awkwardly pulling apart when Linda walked in.
But any peace between them never seems to last long.
Things escalated again when Elaine secretly enlisted Oscar Branning to sabotage Ian’s campaign speech. The plan completely backfired when Ian found himself accidentally reading out lyrics from the Neighbours theme tune during a public event, leaving him humiliated in front of the community.
Although Elaine eventually admitted things had gone too far and promised they’d play fair from then on, the damage was already done. Ian later let Bea go ahead with the brutal attack video against Elaine, sending their feud spiralling right back to square one.
Tonight, after all the drama, the election results are finally revealed, and Ian comes out on top, winning by a landslide. While some residents celebrate, Elaine is crushed by the defeat and heads home, devastated.

Despite winning, he admits he feels worse than ever about the way the campaign unfolded. Wanting to clear the air, he follows Elaine home to check on her and apologise one final time.
Only things don’t exactly go to plan.
A bitter Elaine assumes he’s turned up simply to gloat about his victory, and before long, the pair are bickering once again. But in the middle of the heated exchange, Ian suddenly interrupts the argument in the most shocking way possible, by kissing her.
The moment leaves both of them completely blindsided.
Even more surprising, Elaine kisses him back.
After months of tension, lingering looks and fiery arguments, it suddenly becomes clear that there’s been something bubbling under the surface between them for quite some time. But as quickly as the passion flares up, reality hits. Panicking over what’s just happened, Ian pulls away and rushes out, leaving Elaine just as stunned as he is.
