The trial of Bear Wolf finally drew to a close on Emmerdale

Three men in suits look on solemnly, likely during a trial or serious event.

The verdict for the trio in the stands were confirmed

Fans will recall last year how Ray had kept Bear imprisoned at the farm he ran with mum Celia – which was used to house a staggering number of illegal workers.

They were kept as slaves in an attic room on the farm and forced to work in terrible conditions with no pay and no access to the outside world.

Eventually as Ray and Celia’s illegal farm began to crumble and their secrets were exposed to the Dales, Bear eventually became free whilst still not being able to fully comprehend what had happened to him.

When he saw Ray attacking his son Paddy, Bear finally snapped and killed him on the kitchen floor of Paddy’s home.

Paddy was given a guilty verdict

A man with glasses and a white shirt looks to his right, next to a blurred young man.

He was the only one of the three to be found in the wrong

Paddy and Dylan Penders attempted to cover it all up but things were eventually laid bare with Bear charged with Ray’s murder and Paddy and Dylan facing charges for keeping it covered up.

This week, all three were in court.

Now, the outcome of the trial has been revealed – and it was VERY different across the board.

Following three hours of jury deliberation, the foreperson read out the three verdicts – which revealed that two of the trio had been found not guilty but one of them was guilty.

At the time, it did not clarify who had received which result.

Dylan was revealed to have been found not guilty as he was seen in a field enjoying a phone call with girlfriend April Windsor as they planned their future now that he was “free”.

In an unexpected twist, it was confirmed that murderer Bear had also been found not guilty and that it was in fact Paddy who received the guilty charge.

Bear was seen furious with the result and that his son had been handed a sentence of two years suspended for 12 months.

He felt he should have been held responsible over his son but Paddy assured him it was a better outcome as he was able to walk free and still bring up his beloved daughter, Eve.
