OMG SHOCKING!!! Jacob finally reports Dr Todd in Emmerdale but gets a very unexpected shock
Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) is ready to take the dragon head on in Emmerdale, but there is an unexpected sting in the tail.
Jacob’s been on a roller coaster ride with boss and mentor Dr Todd (Caroline Harker). After he got sick and tired of her bullying and gaslighting, he made an informal complaint to HR.
Todd found out about this and tried to get him to drop is complaint via her usual means of manipulation, telling him he’d be depriving the world of the best doctor ever if she did get the sack. He turned around and beautifully laid out how she had likely deprived the world of many brilliant doctors thanks to her bully-boss style, and stuck to his guns.
Ah but then the trump card fell into her lap when she overheard that Charity’s surrogate baby is not, in fact, Jacob’s. What an unbelievable opportunity to land in her lap – she blackmailed Charity that if she got Jacob to drop his complaint, the crooked Doc would keep the paternity a secret. Brutal.
Charity then emotionally pressured Jacob into retracting his complaint, claiming she was looking out for him and protecting his future, Lies. He had vowed never to be manipulated again but hadn’t seen Charity coming.

So, Jacob dropped his complaint and decided to face things himself. HR were surprised about his decision after the lengthy report he’d given. They even tried to tempt him to pursue the complaint with a tip that he wasn’t the first to make a complaint. But he decided to go through with the retraction.
But a retracted complaint does not stop Dr Todd from upping her bullying game. Now she openly mocks him when they pass each other in the village, and targets Sarah (Katie Hill) by twisting the knife that Jacob is all too keen to get back to work instead of play happy families.
Jacob does not take this well and confronts his evil boss in the Woolpack. But he makes a mistake when she walks away and he follows her into the ladies’ loo. Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) walks in and catches him there, not a good look.
Vanessa confronts him, having become so completely confused by his behaviour, and he finally confesses everything to Sarah; the bullying, the lies, the mind games and gas lighting.

Sarah now understands and tells him they’ll face it all together and sees with fresh eyes how emotionally beaten Jacob is. She tells him he needs to find his strength to tackle this.
But she also confronts Vanessa herself, which could only make matters worse.
Fired up, Jacob decides to reinstate his complaint, but here’s the painful twist – Todd has got there first and with a bucket load of evidence against him. It’s all lies; every single scrap has been fabricated.
Jacob is floored but Sarah tells him now is the time to fight. But is it a fight he can win?
