Emmerdale’s Natalie Ann Jamieson rescued by former co-star after road accident

Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Moira’s revenge against Joe
Emmerdale‘s Natalie Ann Jamieson has confirmed she recently got into a car accident, but was thankfully rescued by her former co-star Olivia Bromley. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Jamieson called Bromley a “hero”.
“Find yourself a friend who will drive half way across Yorkshire to rescue you when you’ve been hit by a Lorry!” wrote the actor, who played Amy Wyatt in the ITV soap. “RIP little red car. Thank you my lovely @oliviabromley_ for being our hero.”
Jamieson, whose six-year stint in the series came to an end last year, added that everybody involved in the incident was “okay” as nobody had sustained an injury, with the star thanking followers for their “lovely messages”.

The post also contained a few selfies of the pair, while Bromley, who plays Dawn Fletcher in the soap, replied with four love heart emojis. Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton, said he was “glad” that the pair were “all good”.
Jamieson made her final appearance as Amy in February 2025, with the beloved character being killed off after being involved in a limousine crash. At the time of her exit, the actor paid tribute to her co-stars.
“I have had the best six years of my life playing this gobby Geordie with a heart of gold!” wrote the star on Instagram. “What a way to go – so so proud of the cast and crew who achieved all this in these last few eps!”

“I’ve got so many amazing things to say about @emmerdale but for tonight just thank you for everything! And thank you to everyone of you who came on the journey with me, and all your beautiful messages you have sent to me! Lots and lots of love,” they added.
Bromley, meanwhile, is rumoured to be departing the soap later this year after eight years in the role. Though this hasn’t been officially confirmed, a report from last month detailed that the character would be written out.

“As a warrior of a woman who turned her life around, it’s vital that Dawn’s send-off is anything but quiet. So please, Emmerdale, play to her strengths with a final arc that’s all about her – and make it one to remember,” we concluded.
EMMERDALE’S Natalie Ann Jamieson has cheated death after a lorry ploughed into her car – as she thanked her soap co-star for “saving her”.
The actress, 38, who is best known for playing Amy Wyatt in the ITV soap, shocked fans when she revealed she’d had a road accident.

The soap star, whose character was killed off last year in a dramatic limo accident, opened up about her own recent car crash.
In her latest Instagram post, Natalie revealed how her Emmerdale co-star Olivia Bromley, 30, who is known for playing Dawn Taylor, had come to her aid following the traumatic incident.
Sharing with fans, the actress penned: “Find yourself a friend who will drive half way across Yorkshire to rescue you when you’ve been hit by a Lorry!
“RIP little red car.”

The star then added: “Thank you my lovely @oliviabromley_ for being our hero.”
Fans rushed to share their support, with one saying: “Oh no! hope you are all ok.”
Another added: “Aww no hope you are all okay that’s the main thing.”
After concern from fans, Natalie added: “Everyone ok, no injuries thankfully! Cheers for your lovely messages.”
Meanwhile, Emmerdale fans were shocked last year when Natalie’s character was suddenly killed off.
The star had been on the soap for six years from 2019 to 2025.

But last February, viewers wept as Amy plunged to an icy death in a river during a dramatic limo accident in Dales.
Natalie later revealed to The Sun how she kept her character’s death a secret from friends and family.
However, she did tell her mum, partner and auntie because she wanted them to be prepared for her distressing on-screen death.
“I kept it top secret because I wanted it to have the most impact. My mum is one of the only people I told, my partner and my auntie,” Natalie told us.
“I told the people who I thought it would be worse for them to see it play out on screen, I said to my mam, I don’t think you should watch it at all!
“I kept it secret from everyone, it was kind of what I did when I was going into Emmerdale as well. “
Despite Natalie’s character being killed off, the actress told The Sun that she hasn’t given up hope that one day she may return to the village.
She said: “The sad thing about that is because I’ve got so many friends who I loved working with.

“I’m not going to have that again, but who knows there might be the odd episode where they have a flashback, or an hallucination or the ghost of Amy! I might get to be ghost.
“That’s the saddest thing not working with those people anymore, but I’ll still get to see them all as friends, and I’m going to stay in the area so it doesn’t feel as bigger heartache as it could have been.”
Speaking about life after Emmerdale, Natalie said: “I’m really excited. I’ve started auditioning again.
“Six years in Emmerdale, everything has changed so much, it was a completely different industry but I’m excited to be back out there in the big wide world.
“I can do anything! I love theatre but also TV and film. I’d really like to do some comedy!
