HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! Eva driven to murder Megan by Maggie in Coronation Street spoiler video

With her own attempt at warning Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) off having backfired, Coronation Street’s Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) turns her attention elsewhere in a bid to teach the groomer a lesson.

Megan, as viewers know, groomed Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Swale) for months, with his nearest and dearest having no idea what the abuser was up to until it all came to light last month.

The teacher’s actions were uncovered after Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), who had been tormented by the abuser into keeping shtum, ended up in hospital.

When questioned by worried Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) on why he’d been taking drugs, Sam revealed the truth about Megan to Leanne, who relayed the news to the Driscoll clan, who were left reeling to learn that Will had been targeted and groomed by someone they knew so well.

With Megan pregnant, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) suggested the baby to be all the proof they need to confirm that she abused Will. Maggie, meanwhile, tracked Megan down and threatened her.

Ever the manipulator, Megan turned the tables and claimed that she’d suffered a miscarriage as a result of an alleged altercation with Maggie when in reality she had a termination.

Upcoming scenes will see the Driscolls devastated to learn that the police are dropping the investigation into Megan due to a lack of evidence.

Ben (Aaron McCusker) doesn’t take the news too well and blames Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) for not keeping his brother safe from Megan. Eva leaps to Ollie’s defence, which leads to words being exchanged with Ben.

In the above clip, taken from Monday’s (April 20) edition of the ITV soap, sees Ben return to the Rovers, where more heated words are shared with Eva.

Maggie, meanwhile, eavesdrops on the conversation and, feeling like something needs to be done about Megan, she urges Eva to take action.

Eve is not quite sure what Maggie means but perhaps the silence in her response is all the subtext she needs.

Let’s not forget that Maggie is no stranger to having taken a life, as confirmed in a flashback episode from last year.

Megan, meanwhile, is one of several characters in danger of losing their life after Corrie aired a flashforward episode earlier this year, with confirmation of a dead body come late April.

Now you can ensure you never miss a story from the Soaps team

Megan, Maggie, Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) and Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) are the potential victims.

Could Megan end up dead at Eva’s hands? Or will someone else take revenge?

Tensions reach breaking point in Coronation Street as Eva Price takes decisive action against Megan Walsh following a shocking legal development that leaves the entire community reeling.

The drama begins at the Rovers Return, where Kit Green arrives with devastating news for Ben, Eva, and Maggie. He reveals that the Crown Prosecution Service has dropped the case against Megan due to insufficient evidence. The decision sends shockwaves through the family, who had been hoping for justice after weeks of mounting allegations and emotional turmoil.

While the news sparks anger and disbelief among Megan’s opponents, Megan herself wastes no time asserting control over the situation, immediately setting new plans in motion.

Megan’s escape plan with Will raises alarm

In a parallel development, Megan meets with Will and delivers the news in a carefully controlled manner. However, she goes further, revealing she has already booked plane tickets for the pair to travel to Paris.

Will is overjoyed and fully convinced by Megan’s narrative, showing complete trust in her version of events. In a gesture of affection and excitement, he even gifts her a travel guidebook as they begin planning what he believes will be a fresh start abroad.

For Megan, the trip represents an opportunity to leave Weatherfield behind and escape mounting suspicions. But for Will’s family, the development intensifies fears that he is being further manipulated and isolated.

Family tensions escalate at the Rovers

Back at the Rovers Return, emotions spiral as Ollie confronts Ben in an angry outburst, accusing him of failing to protect Will. The confrontation highlights growing fractures within the family as frustration builds over the lack of legal progress.

Ben, overwhelmed by the situation, struggles to maintain control as blame and fear begin to tear relationships apart.

Amid the chaos, Maggie urges Eva to take immediate action. She warns that if the situation is allowed to continue, Ben may make a desperate decision that could have irreversible consequences. Her concerns underline the increasingly unstable emotional climate surrounding the case.

Eva’s risky plan to expose Megan

Refusing to accept defeat, Eva decides she will not allow Megan to walk away unchallenged. However, she recognises that direct accusations are no longer enough to stop her.

With guidance from Leanne Battersby, Eva begins searching Will’s room and makes a breakthrough discovery: a burner phone containing a single saved contact. Believing it could be the key to exposing Megan’s manipulation, the group begins formulating a plan.

Leanne advises Eva to use the phone strategically, suggesting she send a message pretending to be Will in order to lure Megan into a controlled meeting. Although risky, the plan represents a rare opportunity to gather evidence and potentially catch Megan off guard.

Despite the uncertainty, Eva agrees to proceed, aware that time is running out.

Confrontation escalates into physical violence

Eva, Leanne, and Toyah Battersby later confront Megan directly. What begins as a tense verbal exchange quickly descends into chaos as the group challenges her about the burner phone and her ongoing manipulation of Will.

Megan refuses to be intimidated and pushes back against the accusations, escalating tensions further. The confrontation rapidly spirals out of control, culminating in a physical altercation between the women.

The scene ends in shocking fashion as Megan is left collapsed on the pavement, while Eva, Leanne, and Toyah flee the scene, visibly shaken by what has just unfolded. The incident marks a dramatic turning point in the storyline, highlighting just how far the situation has escalated.

Eva’s hidden move changes everything

However, the confrontation is only part of Eva’s strategy. Later, back at the Rovers, she reveals a crucial development that could shift the balance of power.

During the chaos, Eva managed to secretly plant a tracking device in Megan’s bag. The discovery provides the group with a potential way to monitor Megan’s movements and anticipate her next steps, offering a renewed sense of hope in an otherwise deteriorating situation.

What happens next?

As Megan continues to plan her escape to Paris with Will, the stakes remain dangerously high. With the CPS no longer pursuing charges and Megan seemingly one step ahead, Eva’s tracking device may prove to be the only tool capable of preventing her from disappearing completely.

However, the physical confrontation has already raised serious consequences, and it remains unclear whether Megan will retaliate—or whether her actions will finally catch up with her.

With emotions running high, loyalties divided, and legal avenues closing, Coronation Street continues to build towards a volatile and unpredictable chapter in the battle for Will’s future.
