Emmerdale‘s Lewis Barton makes a cheeky discovery next week, when he catches Belle Dingle and Kammy Hadiq sharing a flirty moment together. Belle and Kammy were previously adamant that nothing serious could ever happen between them, but will Lewis now make moves to reunite the former lovebirds?

Not too long ago, Belle and Kammy called their romance off after agreeing that something was missing between them. But Lewis spots the pair hitting it off, so it seems they may have been in denial about their chances after all…

“There’s obvious chemistry between Belle and Kammy,” explains our village source. “Kammy knows how to put a smile on a lot of people’s faces, but the grin on Belle’s face while she’s chatting to him is a sign that there’s more to their connection than just friendship.

“Let’s hope that Lewis plays it cool after he sees them, otherwise things could get awkward pretty quickly…”

The playful exchange takes place in public view at Cain Dingle’s garage, with Lewis watching from afar.

But when Lewis continues on his way, will he keep his findings to himself – or bring their mates in on the gossip?

“Lewis has proved himself to be a top friend to Kammy,” recaps our spy. “In fact, when Kammy wasn’t sure about pursuing his relationship with Belle in the first place, it was Lewis that advised him to be honest with her.

“Hopefully Lewis sticks to his loyal ways and keeps things on the lowdown for now.”

Will Lewis help Belle and Kammy rekindle their romance? Or will the flirty moment fizzle out just like last time?

Whatever happens, we can expect plenty more drama for Kammy this year, with show bosses planning to explore his past in a major upcoming storyline.

“I have just come back from a chat with the producer and what she said to me is something that I didn’t imagine,” Shebz Miah, who plays Kammy, told Inside Soap‘s Soap Scoop podcast earlier this year. “I was like: ‘Okay, this is going to be interesting!’

“We do look into Kammy’s past and we are going to learn more about his family history.

“Honestly, it was a mixture of emotions [when I found out]. There was a lot of relief, there was happiness, but then there is also a tragic side to it as well.

“There’s some tragedy in there, but it all makes sense. There’s a reason why he’s so cheery and charismatic.”
