Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has been sharing her adoration for the co-star as he future on the long-running show was recently confirmed.

The actress is known best by fans of the ITV soap for playing DS Lisa Swain in Weatherfield, a role she made her debut in back in 2021. Viewers will recall that the character was first introduced when the detective sergeant was brought in to investigate the shocking hate crime assaults on Nina Lucas and her boyfriend Seb Franklin, which led to the latter’s death.

But it wasn’t until 2024 that Vicky was signed as a regular on the much-loved programme and has been at the centre of life on the cobbles – and not far from the drama either – ever since.

And some fans may not know that Vicky shares a real-life relationship with one of her co-stars off-screen. She is besties with Abi Webster star Sally Carman-Duttine, who has been on Corrie since 2017.

“You know when you just meet some people and it’s instant,” Sally recently told the Radio Times of Vicky. “I feel like I’ve known her my whole life. We’ve got a mutual friend, so there’s three of us,” she continued, referring to actress Erin Shanagher, who has appeared in shows such as The Bay and Peaky Blinders.

Sally added: “Her first day was the episode where [Abi] found out that Seb had died in the hospital, and we didn’t actually speak that much because I was sort of in the zone and she was very respectful of that. But we just clicked.”

It came as confirmed her future on the cobbles, revealing to the publication that she’d signed another year-long contract. As the news was shared on social media, Vicky was spotted replying to the upcoming, writing in the comments section of an Instagram post: “There she is [hand heart emoji]. The one and only @sally_carman__ [hand heart emoji].”

About Sally’s ‘lovely’ words said about her in the interview, Vicky added: “Aren’t they just! The feelings are mutual and I absolutely adore her.” In response, Sally then gushingly told Vicky: “Love you to bits.”

Back in August, Sally revealed that she and Vicky, as will as friend and fellow actress Erin Shanagher, headed on a girls’ trip to Paris and shared a bunch of pictures from the break – from exploring the city, posing at landmarks and enjoying late-night dinners. Alongside the post, Sally wrote: “Saving Private Benjamin – Paris 2025,” before adding a string of hashtags which included ‘earth angels’.

Vicky was quick to respond, writing in the comments: “The best time with the best women! Thank you so much,” to which Sally then gushed: “Love you bud.”
