THEO’S K*LLER RANKED: FROM SH0CKINGLY INNOCENT TO D.E.A.D.L.Y PRIME SUSPECTS! 🕵️‍♂️⚖️

Theo Silverton’s reign of terror over husband Todd Grimshaw has finally come to an end — but the fallout from his death is still sending shockwaves across Coronation Street. In Wednesday’s episode (6 May) of the ITV soap, George Shuttleworth was seen emerging from a disturbed night in police custody after being questioned over Theo’s murder and released under investigation.

As George, Todd and Christina tried to process the escalating situation, suspicion continued to build across the cobbles, with multiple residents having both motive and history with Theo following the discovery of his abusive behaviour towards Todd.

While George remains at the centre of the investigation, he’s far from the only suspect. Theo alienated several people in the months leading up to his death and emotions have been running high since his abuse was exposed. Soap bosses have recently confirmed six key suspects, but each one carries a different level of suspicion.

Theo Silverton’s ex-wife (played by Natalie Anderson) wasn’t on the cobbles on the day of his death, immediately making her one of the less likely suspects. She also shares two children with Theo (Miles and Millie) and was last seen quietly leaving flowers following his death without engaging with anyone on the Street.

Prior to this, Danielle has been questioned by Sarah about Theo’s behaviour and became defensive when abuse allegations were raised. But there has been nothing to suggest she acted beyond that. Some viewers may believe she acted out of revenge for Theo’s affair with Todd but could Danielle really leave her children fatherless to settle a score?

As one of Todd’s closest friends, Sarah (Tina O’Brien) was horrified after discovering the extent of Theo’s abuse. She previously attempted to take Theo’s tablet in order to gather evidence against him. That same device has now gone missing and is being treated as key evidence in the investigation.

However, Sarah’s movements on the night of Theo’s death work against her being the killer. She was seen entering No.8 before being struck on the head by Jodie Ramsey, meaning she spent several hours in hospital and effectively has an alibi. He relationship with DC Kit Green also further reduces suspicion, suggesting she is unlikely to have crossed a line into murder — unless Theo’s death was an accident.

Christina

Amy Robbins in Coronation Street: Her famous family revealed

Christina (Amy Robbins) may not have a direct link to Todd, but her protective instincts over her partner George has placed her under scrutiny. She was the first to panic after noticing blood on George’s shirt this Wednesday, raising concerns that were later overheard by DS Lisa Swain.

Her past also works against her. Before her relationship with George, Christina was introduced as a far more ruthless character, and the darker edge could point to her being capable of extreme action if she believed it was necessary. If she acted, she may have been trying to protect George and Todd, rather than out of personal motive.

George

Coronation Street confirms George Shuttleworth's future in major character update

George (Tony Maudsley) has long acted like a father figure to Todd and has been openly hostile towards Theo following revelations about his abuse. He helped Todd prepare to leave Theo and was present during the confrontation that saw Theo locked in his own bathroom.

Importantly, George has no solid alibi for the night of the murder, having been sent out walking alone during the key timeframe. Despite this, his emotional connection to Todd makes it difficult to imagine him going as far as murder.

Todd

Coronation Street Todd Grimshaw's exit sealed' after 25 years and fans are gutted - OK! Magazine

As Theo’s victim, Todd (Gareth Pierce) was the most obvious suspect from the outset. Theo subjected Todd to months of psychological and physical abuse, leaving Todd isolated, fearful and constantly on edge.

While Todd has a history of questionable choices, his immediate reaction to Theo’s death was one of shock and confusion rather than relief, which shifts suspicion slightly. Todd was also hiding in the precinct before Christina searched for him on the night of the murder, suggesting fear rather than intent.

Gary

Coronation Street Gary's exit 'sealed' after 18 years in shock murder twist - Liverpool Echo

Mikey North’s Gary Windass has a violent history on the cobbles, having previously been involved in the deaths of Rana Habeeb and Rick Neelan. He was also caught on CCTV damaging Theo’s van, footage he deleted this Wednesday. But this still raises questions about how far his involvement really went.

Many viewers of the long-running soap have theorised that Gary could become a serial killer with a third victim. While there’s no direct evidence placing him at the scene of the crime, his past means he cannot be ruled out, particularly if a confrontation escalated unexpectedly.

Summer

Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Billy's funeral drama

Following this Wednesday’s episode, Summer (Harriet Bibby) is emerging as one of the most significant suspects in the investigation. She has shown strong emotional reactions to Theo’s deeds, particularly following revelations about his involvement in Billy’s death.

Crucially, she was the last known person seen with Theo alive. She went to Todd’s flat on the night of the murder, where the scaffolder was lurking. Although the details of the interaction remain unclear, the timing places her at the centre of suspicion, with questions surrounding whether she acted alone.
