‘Sister Wives’ Star Shares Powerful Message About Love, Healing, and Identity
Since the 2010 premiere of TLC’s “Sister Wives,” fans have watched the Brown family navigate their fair share of drama, from shifting family dynamics to strained relationships. Over the years, viewers have gotten a front row seat to Kody Brown’s highly public plural marriage, as he struggled to maintain relationships with his four spiritual wives.
As fans will remember, the family’s breakdown seemed almost inevitable after their move from Las Vegas to Flagstaff, Arizona, in 2018. After nearly 25 years together, Christine Brown, the family’s third wife, was the first to leave in 2021.
Her departure was followed by more changes. Kody’s second wife, Janelle Brown, ended their spiritual marriage in 2022. The following year, his first wife, Meri Brown, confirmed their separation. The shifts left Kody with just one remaining wife, Robyn Brown.
While the parental figures of the Brown family haven’t always set the strongest example, that doesn’t mean their 18 children are following the same path.
In fact, one of the Brown siblings recently opened up about their own experience with love, sharing a powerful message about healing and identity with fans. Here’s what they had to say.
Leon Brown Opens Up to Fans About Transformative Love
“Sister Wives” star Leon Brown, who uses they/them pronouns, recently took to social media to share a powerful message on Trans Day of Visibility. The post reflected on Brown’s healing and identity, as well as the transformative love they have experienced with their partner, Audrey Kriss.
Leon shared a carousel of heartwarming photos, featuring them and their partner. The “Sister Wives” star captioned the Instagram post, “I have far too many feelings about Trans Day of Visibility than I know how to put into words. But I do know this— t4t love is the most expansive, gentle, transformative, remembering kind of love I have ever known.”
The TLC star went on to write, “Loving each other through change, loss, heartbreak has healed me in ways I think only this love can. Creative, deep, warm—in this love, I am home.”
Brown finished their touching message, sharing, “I love being trans with you.”
Leon’s partner Audrey quickly responded to the sweet post, writing, “I love loving you.”
‘Sister Wives’ Fans Celebrate Leon Brown’s Identity
After sharing their powerful message about love, healing, and identity, Leon’s comment section quickly filled with supportive messages from fans.
One follower wrote, “How lucky are we to have watched you become yourself right in front of our eyes.”
Another added, “Perfect together. What an awesome journey to get to SHARE.”
A third commented, “You two make my heart smile. I followed you for many years, love seeing you both happy and so in love. Love is Love.”
One fan shared a longer message, writing, “I’ve lived a long life, and I’m happy to have lived long enough to see the beginnings of accepting people as their authentic selves.”
The commenter continued, “So much progress in my 75 years. I hope we can keep moving in the right direction. The love and happiness between you both shine through the posts and pictures you share. I wish everyone could experience that love.”
These responses highlight the strong support Leon continues to receive from fans as they share more of their journey.
Leon Brown Started Filming for ‘Sister Wives’ When They Were 15
At 30 years old, it’s been 15 years since Leon Brown made their TLC debut. Despite the fact that the reality star seldom appears on the TLC show today, many “Sister Wives” fans are still invested in Leon’s journey.
Viewers met Leon when they were just a teenager and have watched them graduate from high school, attend college, and truly find themselves along the way.
Leon is the only child of Kody Brown and his first wife, Meri Brown. The TLC star has had a tumultuous relationship with both parents over the years. While Leon and Meri have mended fences, the same cannot be said of the reality star and their father.
In the fall of 2025, Kody Brown appeared on Fox’s “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” While promoting this show, Brown claimed that he had tried to reach out to many of his estranged children.
Leon took to Instagram to set the record straight, sharing on their Stories, “There’s a ridiculous video of my father circulating where he says he reaches out to his children.”
The reality star revealed to fans that Kody’s statements were absolutely false, going on to share, “Kody blatantly blew me off at Garrison’s funeral. He is a liar. He is a joke of a father. That’s all.”
While their relationship with Kody remains strained, Leon’s recent message on Trans Day of Visibility shows just how far they’ve come on their own journey, all while finding healing, identity, and a sense of home along the way.
