Sister Wives star Robyn Brown and cameras don’t seem to mix when it comes to the TLC series
filming inside the home she shares with her now-monogamous husband. Sure, they filmed at her house,
but the camera always seems to capture them on the outside of their home.
Sister Wives: You’ve Seen Robyn Brown’s Yard
Kody Brown and Robyn Brown showed up in several episodes sitting in their backyard and visiting with the other wives. There were even a few times that they looked cold as they sat outside, while their warm house was just a few feet away.
Sister Wives fans recently debated the topic of only filming in Robyn’s yard. Many wondered why the cameras rarely go inside the house. Even when they all lived in Vegas, you often saw the inside of the other three co-wives’ houses. But not the house that belonged to wife number four.
The Sister Wives adults would discuss finances around Janelle Brown or Christine Brown‘s dining room table over the years. Meri Brown didn’t seem to host Kody and her co-wives all at once. But a lot of one-on-one scenes with either Kody or another wife took place inside her home.
Robyn Fancies Herself a Private Person?
When you and your family star in a reality show that focuses on your everyday life, privacy is at a minimum. This is one of the arguments when someone mentioned Robyn Brown likes her privacy and that’s why cameras don’t film in her house.
She knew about the Sister Wives series before she married Kody Brown. So, she was well-informed about the cameras on the way when joining the family. It’s not as if they suddenly appeared without warning.
Kody’s youngest and now only wife does like her privacy. She has said as much on the show a few times. Years ago, the Sister Wives show did an episode where they toured the four wives’ bedrooms. The outcome of this could have left her very leery of cameras infiltrating her privacy.
And the Sister Wives Camera Captured…
The bedroom tour became a popular episode of this TLC series for the fans. The four wives followed the camera operator around to each house and each bedroom.
This made all of them uncomfortable. They later said how their individual bedrooms in each of the ladies’ homes were considered taboo for the other wives to enter.
But what the Sister Wives ladies found in Robyn Brown’s bedroom was a calling card left behind by Kody from the night before. Robyn looked like she was uneasy at the time.
This topic blew up online, so maybe she’s a bit guarded against another embarrassing incident today. It’s possible she’s worried about the camera picking up something else that’s fuel for the critics, like a messy countertop.
Kody does those fan videos from home. Many of them are done outside the house he lives in with his fourth wife.
On the few occasions that he filmed from inside the house, he stood in front of some much-wrinkled drapes. So, some Sister Wives fans surmise Robyn might be messy and doesn’t want the backlash that will without a doubt come from the online world if things look amiss.
Then Robyn’s Kids Factor In…
Some fans surmise that Robyn Brown’s kids have the run of the house, and they assume it’s likely messy. So, maybe it’s too messy for filming. This was also questioned during this online fan debate.
Last year, Robyn had Christmas at her house. Only Meri showed up for this event. But the pictures they posted online immediately drew a lot of criticism.
Kody and Robyn’s youngest daughter was almost six years old at the time, and she had a pacifier. Sister Wives fans jumped all over Robyn Brown for this.
So, maybe Robyn has had enough criticism. It seems the floodgates on mud-slinging open on the few occasions she invited any type of camera inside her home. So, when it comes to opening up the only place she can find privacy, maybe she’s had it with the armchair critics at home.
