Coyote Pass Redivided After Sister Wives’ Splits: Who Owns What Land After Property Shakeup?

In the wake of Sister Wives‘ Kody Brown‘s split from three of his four wives, their approximately 14 acres of land known as Coyote Pass, has been redivided, In Touch can confirm while revealing who owns which portions of land now.

Coconino County, Arizona, property records show Kody, 56, and wife Robyn Brown conveyed a portion of Coyote Pass to Meri Brown and Janelle Brown as of March 27.

Kody and Robyn, 46, now own 50 percent, while Janelle, 55, and Meri, 54, now own 25 percent each. Starcasm was first to report on the revised warranty deeds on Tuesday, April 1.

Kody’s ex-wife Christine Woolley (née Brown) previously sold her share of the property outside Flagstaff, Arizona, to him and Robyn for just $10 in July 2022, following their split in November 2021 after 25 years of spiritual marriage.

He initially purchased the land in 2018 for $820,000 with the intention of splitting the property in five parcels for him, his four wives and their children.

Kody originally planned to live in one large house with all of his wives and their children. However, Robyn, Meri, Janelle and Christine, 52, quickly shot down the idea.

The patriarch and Meri confirmed their split in December 2022 after 32 years of a spiritual marriage. That same month, In Touch exclusively reported that Janelle “outgrew” her marriage with Kody and left him.

The former couple, who spiritually wed in 1993, confirmed the breakup news days later during the Sister Wives: One-on-One special.

The Coyote Pass land remains undeveloped, and no one currently lives on the property.

Janelle gave living on the Coyote Pass land a shot in 2021, when she resided in an RV parked on the property. “So, I have something fun to share. I acted boldly and seized an adventure,” she explained via Instagram in June 2021.

“Lots to do out here on the land so I figured why not be onsite. Honestly, I’m alternating between extreme excitement as I’ve always wanted to try this and anxiety at all the unknown variables.”

After her split from Kody, Janelle moved to North Carolina in 2024 upon purchasing land where she’s starting her new flower growing business, Taeda Farms, alongside daughter Maddie Brush (née Brown) and son-in-law Caleb Brush.

Meri currently lives in Southwestern Utah, where she has been running Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, her late mom’s bed and breakfast.

In Touch confirmed Kody and Robyn purchased a $2.1 million home in Flagstaff in October 2024. The couple bought the new six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home through their trust, White Stone Trust.

The future of Coyote Pass was highlighted during the first half of Sister Wives season 19, which finished airing in February. A premiere date for the second half of the season has not been announced by TLC.

“I love Coyote Pass. I always have. It’s hard to think of letting it go,” Robyn shared in the January 26 episode of Sister Wives.

She confessed, “Every time I’m at Coyote Pass, I’m just like, my heart aches. I [just] see the vision that I’ve always imagined, you know, all of the space and the houses.”

During the same episode, Kody admitted that he and Robyn “haven’t really synced up” of their future plans for the property.

“We’re in different places and it’s an in and out,” he explained. “It’s like sometimes I want to keep it, sometimes I want to sell it. And Robyn knows we need to sell it but sometimes wants to keep it.”

In the teaser trailer for the second half of season 19, Janelle said in a confessional, “As long as that property remains a source of contention, I can’t fully move on.”

In the same promo, Meri told Janelle she was “so mad” and threatened legal action against Kody and Robyn, saying, “I’m gonna have to get some lawyers involved,” over the property. “There’s a few things that I will fight for, and this is one of them,” Meri added in a voiceover.
