Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has opened up about juggling work and parenting as she made a âquite hardâ admission.
The Blackpool-born actress is best known for playing Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, making her debut on the cobbles back in 2015. After leaving in 2020, Lucy has been back entertaining Corrie fans since 2023.
Away from the limelight, Lucy revealed in November last year that she and her boyfriend Ryan Ledson are sent to walk down the aisle after she accepted his proposal. The pair went public with their relationship in June 2021.
The actress welcomed a boy called Sonny in 2023, followed by a daughter, Nancy, in 2025, with her Huddersfield Town footballer fiancĂŠ, Ryan Ledson, 29. Lucy has now opened up in a new interview with The Mirror about her family life.
âTheyâre great, but theyâre such a handful â especially Sonny at the moment. Heâs got the terrible twos a little bit late, Iâd say⌠I think going from zero to one was easier.

âI think itâs the age gap as well â Sonny was still a baby when I had Nancy, and while itâs so lovely and seeing how they interact now, the juggle of having a toddler, a baby and work is quite hard,â she said.
Lucy added: âAs they say, it takes a village and luckily, we have a village. I know weâre privileged â not everybody gets that luxury. My mum and Ryanâs mum help out a lot. We take the help where we can get it!â
One thing sheâs learned about being a mum is the amount of things she has to plan in advance due to having children at home. She explained: âI did have a few times when I needed to go and get some milk and I realised, âI need to take you with me, you canât stay here on your own!â It gets easier because you get your groove, but that takes getting used toâŚ
âWell-meaning relatives might say in the early days and months, âYou need to leave the house. Take him or her for a walk!â There would be days where I actually didnât want to â and thatâs totally fine. You just have to take every day as it comes.
âYou grieve that little section of life. I remember when Sonny turned four weeks old, I hysterically sobbed because I was like, âOh no, heâs a month old, and now heâs three!â It goes so quickly â youâve just got to enjoy every stage because youâll never get that version of them again.â
Asked about how she and Ryan manage their schedules, she stated: âItâs hard, because Iâve had a full week of parenting, most times solo, then at the weekend heâs away playing football. He stays away every Friday. His schedule changes all the time. Itâs a huge juggle, but we manage.â
She later noted: âI can be doing 12-hour days, so especially if you are in the midst of a storyline thatâs quite intense, it can be exhausting, but I love it and I love the people there. Itâs an iconic place to work, so Iâm very lucky.â
