Who Is Ben Brown?

Ben has never been on Sister Wives, but many TLC fans know of him because he’s been opening up about polygamy on TikTok for several years. Actually, he seems to fill in the gaps in the show that promised to educate people about polygamy. Instead, the show became a trainwreck with the OG3 leaving Kody.

Ben is one of the nephews of Kody Brown and he grew up in polygamy. Janelle Brown’s mom was his grandma, and he was raised in the Mormon faith. While he seldom, if ever watched Sister Wives, he has followed Seasons 1 and 2, so he talks from a place of some authority about the about the TLC family.

The Nephew Of Kody Brown Gives The OG 3 Advice

The interview on The Sarah Fraser Show took place on Halloween and you can watch it further down in the article. While he had a lot to say, of interest to TLC fans was the separation of Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown from the family. Plus, he touched on the tragic passing of Garrison Brown and kids in Reality TV.

Speaking about the OG 3, he offered them some advice about life after Kody Brown. As he also broke away from the cult, he first explained how he found freedom, saying:

I think the most beautiful gift I found leaving the cult was myself, right? It was realizing like, ‘Oh, I’m not a, I’m not a bad person. I’m not an evil person.’ I just get to experience and to explore what it is that I like and what I don’t like. And I get to, like, just discover myself.

To Meri, Christine, and Janelle Brown, he advised, “Go out and find yourself.” Then, the nephew of Kody Brown also noted, “The world that they were in told them who they were and who they were supposed to be and they tried to do that for decades.”

Touching On Garrison Brown & Reality TV

Talking about Garrison Brown, Ben said:

[He] was in a different age group [but] I knew him. We were never close, but I do think you know, the…mental health is something that is so tricky…delicate. I don’t imagine that having your whole childhood being made public without your consent was great.

Many TLC fans enjoyed hearing about the lifestyle of the Sister Wives stars. It made them understand more about why people like Kody Brown always seem so miserable, for one thing. Here are some reactions from the comments:
