GARY WINDASS EXPOSED? NEW SH0CKING EVIDENCE SURFACES IN THEO’S D.E.A.T.H AS THE TRUTH FINALLY CATCHES UP! 🚔💣🚨

Suspicion has fallen on Gary Windass as Theo Silverton’s killer in Coronation Street, and more damning evidence has been revealed. Summer Spellman and George Shuttleworth are also in the frame for murder after Theo’s body was discovered in the wake of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding.

Yesterday’s episode saw Gary delete some CCTV footage from the day of the murder that showed him vandalising Theo’s van ahead of his death.

Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Shock death aftermath

In today’s episode, now streaming on ITVX and airing on ITV at 8.30pm, Gary’s wife Maria demands to know what is going on with him after he seemed “so wound up” after Theo died, urging him that if he has something to tell her, he needs to, and that she always has his back.

Maria outright asks Gary if he murdered Theo, to which he says he did something stupid and admits to damaging the van. He says that no one saw him, but does he know that for certain?

Later, Gary is interrogated by Lisa and Kit Green, who ask about his whereabouts on the day of the murder as well as demanding the CCTV footage from his yard.

Gary says that the footage automatically wipes at the end of the day, but Lisa and Kit say that their tech guy should hopefully be able to retrieve it for them anyway.

Maria speaks to Sarah Platt about her worries when Lisa arrives and explains she has taken Gary in for questioning, and would like to speak to her too.

Gary is soon free to go after Kit tells him that Maria has confirmed his alibi, saying she was with him at the builder’s yard that evening.

Explaining herself to Gary, Maria reveals that she said she made Gary delete the CCTV footage after the couple had a private encounter, in a bid to keep Gary smashing up Theo’s van secret.

But his freedom is threatened once more when Sally Metcalfe shows husband Tim some selfies she took when heading home from Carla and Lisa’s wedding.

Gary can be seen clearing in the background, placing him firmly at the scene of Theo’s murder.

We’re still no further forward in finding out who killed Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street, though today’s episode served up some intriguing clues.

The abuser’s body was found by Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) in the backyard of the corner shop at the conclusion of Friday’s episode, bringing an end to months of speculation following a February flash-forward episode.

However, as one murder mystery ended, a new one began – who has blood on their hands? Series producer Kate Brooks has already teased a long road ahead before we finally discover the killer.

“There’s lots of people who are in the frame for Theo’s death,” she explained to Radio Times and other media at a recent event.

“We reveal to the audience who [the murderer] is during late June, July. There’s lots of people you definitely think it could be.

Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) was found dead at the conclusion of Friday’s episode.
“It’s a massive story, there’s so many different twists, and there’s so many different offshoots to the story as well. You think you’re watching one thing, and then it diverts into a completely new kind of story territory. It’ll definitely keep people guessing.”

On Monday, a list of suspects was unveiled; Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce), Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins), George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby), Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Danielle Silverton (Natalie Anderson).

This then led to George being questioned by DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers), who had questions about the blood that Christina was trying to scrub off his jumper. He acknowledged that it was Theo’s blood, but said that he had no part in his murder

George also spent a large portion of the evening alone on a walk, and therefore had no alibi.

In today’s episode, he’d been kept in a cell overnight awaiting further questioning. Lisa showed him a broach and asked if he’d ever seen it before, though he had no idea where it had come from.

Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) advised that time was running out to hold George any longer, and with no real evidence, Lisa would have to let him go.

Gary Windass (Mikey North) had a feud with Theo.

Lisa wasn’t going to stop there, though. She then hauled Christina into the interview room, demanding to know what she knew about George’s whereabouts and whether she had any suspicions herself.

Meanwhile, the events of the last week seemed to be weighing hard on Summer. She broke down in Victoria Gardens and was comforted by Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon), though later became concerned that her upset might’ve looked by guilt.

She made Gary swear not to tell anyone, clearly wanting to cover for his own misdemeanours…

As viewers will recall, on the night Theo died, he smashed up his van before sending a menacing text message. This was captured on CCTV from the builder’s yard, and Gary knew that this could incriminate him.

Desperate to keep out of the police’s attention, he quickly deleted the footage.

Did Gary kill Theo?

Coronation Street’s Gary Windass is the prime suspect as the police continue to investigate Theo Silverton’s murder next week. In tense scenes, Detective Kit Green makes it clear that they have Gary in their sights – and just need the evidence to prove it.

When the cops arrive to seize items from the builder’s yard, Gary is feeling the heat. Will he be exposed as the one who did the deed?

“Gary has the motive, the means and most definitely the temper to have snuffed out Theo,” warns our Corrie insider. “He’s given Lisa and Kit his alibi for that fateful night, but in their eyes it doesn’t stack up. The two coppers smell a rat and decide that it’s time to strike.”

By the time Theo was found dead at the precinct, he was the most hated man in Weatherfield. His treatment of Todd Grimshaw and incendiary behaviour to those around him made for a long list of potential suspects.

Next week, Lisa Swain even wonders if the daggers she and Kit receive from Todd in The Rovers are because he’s guilty.

However, it’s Gary’s behaviour which has put him at the top of the list. The police are already trying to retrieve deleted CCTV from Gary’s computer at the builder’s yard from that night, but they expand their investigation, sending officers to search the yard.

While they take away potential evidence, including scaffolding pipes, Gary can only try to keep his cool as he waits to see what will happen next.

However, it looks like there could be good news for Gary when Kit tells Lisa that the tech team are unable to retrieve the CCTV footage. The pair feel they are back to square one in trying to nab Theo’s killer, but Kit is determined that he’s on the right track.

“Kit sees Gary and Maria on the Street and makes it clear that Gary is still his number one suspect,” reveals our insider.

“Might Gary give himself away under the pressure? Or is Kit wasting time barking up the wrong tree while Theo’s murderer continues to walk free?”
