This is the Coronation Street moment Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) is forced to tell her partner Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) that his son is being abused.
Viewers have watched with horror and frustration as villainous athletics coach Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) groomed one of her students, Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) right under the nose of his unsuspecting dad, stepmum, and grandmother Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn).
Every private coaching session was merely another opportunity to gaslight and coerce her victim into believing that this was a loving relationship.
Like many abusers, Megan hid in plain sight by carefully crafting a wholesome respectful identity for herself in the heart of the community. That’s why she landed a teaching job at Weatherfield High and started dating teacher Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
It was all the perfect cover, so nobody would ever suspect Miss Walsh of such sickening behaviour towards one of the young people in her care.
But this is Soapland. No secret stays under wraps forever.

Fans have long suspected over who will be the one to bring the villain down, and there’s been no shortage of suspects. The most obvious being Will, whose jealous rage over Daniel drove him to attack the headmaster last Christmas and brutally leave him for dead in an alley, which was witnessed by Maggie.
Believing Will to have nothing more than a juvenile vendetta against his headteacher, she agreed to keep his secret. After all, this is a woman who would go to any lengths to protect her family… including pushing her toxic husband to his death after a blazing row.
Maggie’s killer streak put her in the frame for suspects likely to bring down Megan, especially with Corrie’s Murder Mystery Whodunnit round the corner.
Then there was Daniel, who has grown increasingly suspicious of Will’s animosity towards him ever since the youth vandalised his grandad Ken Barlow’s (William Roache) car. Although his suspicions were seemingly shutdown when Megan managed to convince Daniel that Will’s actions were the results of a schoolboy crush, there’s a far more pressing threat to the scheming school teacher’s secret – her pregnancy.

After taking Will’s virginity in a hotel room on his sixteenth birthday, Megan was shocked to discover she was pregnant. When Daniel found the positive test, she managed to worm her way out of trouble yet again by lying that it belonged to a student. All this time, she’s been keeping the baby a secret from everybody but Will. However, a baby is hard to hide indefinitely, prompting fans to speculate that the pregnancy would be what ultimately exposes Megan.
But the most likely candidate by far seems to be intrepid schoolboy sleuth Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan), who has long suspected something untoward about the dynamic between Megan and Will. He’s been the only one who saw through Megan’s façade and is determined to bring her down.
However, Megan’s a dangerous enemy, and she’s been actively trying to silence Sam by sabotaging his academic performance and reputation at school, leading the troubled youngster down a dangerous path of taking unprescribed Ritalin to improve his focus.
This has caused a troubling decline in Sam’s mental health, which his mother Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) assumed was typical stress over exams.

However, the cat is set to be well and truly out of the bag in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street when the poor lad is rushed to hospital after collapsing on the Cobbles.
When Leanne visits Sam in hospital, she gently suggests that his exams weren’t the only reason he resorted to taking drugs. She needs him to explain what’s really going on. As Sam steels himself to tell all, Eva appears in the doorway. This is the moment of truth.
But the nightmare isn’t over yet. Megan’s past comes back to haunt her later in the week as a shock discovery rocks the Driscolls.
The moment where everything changes for the family is teased in this new video. In the pub back room, a deeply worried Eva sits beside Ben and reveals that Megan has been grooming Will.
What will Ben do next?
