Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) and Kerry Wyatt’s (Laura Norton) Emmerdale romance is looking rocky again.
Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Kerry married some weeks ago for tax benefits, and because she feels he’s such a sweet, kind old man, Kerry felt it best not to let on that she was having it away with Jai in the Depot’s main office.
But Eric found out about their relationship when he caught wind of some gossip and found some undeniable evidence of what Kerry was up to behind his back. As her husband, he was understandably miffed.
Eric finding out hasn’t stopped Kerry and Jai, but they are continuing to keep it a secret from their boss Caleb Miligan (Will Ash). He isn’t Jai’s biggest fan on a good day and would likely not be inclined to support a romance in the work place.
To keep things secret, and spicy, the pair took to belittling each other in public, much like they always used to before things got saucy. Basically, they didn’t want to raise any eyebrows by being uncharacteristically nice to each other.

The problem with this plan is that it got a bit too nasty. Kerry started it off by shaming Jai publicly at every chance she got. During the Depot’s manual handling training, Kerry made sure to put Jai in his place and later ridiculed his training to Billy in the pub, claiming it’s what she would have done if she wasn’t sleeping with him.
And while Jai often seems devoid of feeling, Kerry’s act truly hurt. He confronted her about her actions, which she justified by saying she was merely throwing everyone else off the scent. She was also trying, and failing, to ensure Eric didn’t find out.
But two can play at that game, and this immature couple are not above playing games.

Kerry is shocked to find herself called into Caleb’s office with the big boss in situ as well as Jai. Once there, Jai lays into her. Fully tears her a new one.
In his mind, he must protect their relationship at all costs, so in a bid to keep Caleb out of their business, he goes over the top in telling Kerry off.
