Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Kim is poisoned

Emmerdale has revealed the prime suspects in Kim Tate’s poisoning plot, as Graham Foster vows payback.

Recently, Kim attempted to negotiate peace between the rival families, and the Dingles decided to invite Kim to dinner at Wishing Well Cottage to smooth things over after Joe revealed that Lydia was set to inherit Home Farm.

Before dinner, Chas objected to reconciling with the Tates, but Caleb argued that Lydia could sell Home Farm and share the profits.

When Chas noted Kim could still change her will before her death, Caleb hinted she might have an “accident” before she has a chance to do that. They later brushed it off as a joke to Cain, but their comments officially made them the first suspects in the plot.

In tonight’s episode, Kim agreed to attend the truce meal with the Dingles at Wishing Well Cottage after being invited by Lydia, despite receiving warnings from Graham.

At dinner, Kim told Lydia that the mushrooms she served were the best she had ever eaten, with Lydia saying: “Well, you’ve got Sam to thank for that. He went foraging for me this morning.”

“Thanks for the heads up,” Sam said to Cain, before Chas’ dessert of apple turnover was served.

After Kim started choking and collapsed, she was rushed to the hospital, where Jacob told Graham that Kim’s test results showed symptoms consistent with severe mushroom poisoning.

Gabby asked Jacob why Kim would have been poisoned if they all ate the same thing, and Graham said: “Maybe that’s what we’re supposed to think.”

When Gabby asked him what he meant, Graham added: “Meaning someone around that table was clearly targeting Kim. And I will find out who that someone is.”

During the final moments of the episode, it was hinted that Cain and Sam could be to blame, with Sam asking Cain: “Tell me the truth. Them mushrooms you told me to pick…”

Cain replied: “They were safe, Sam, and that’s all you need to know.”

Despite Cain’s assurances, Sam looked worried and Cain looked suspicious. Was it the mushrooms Sam picked, or could someone else be behind the poisoning?
