Emmerdale reveals frustrating new Moira Dingle twist in early ITVX episode

Emmerdale Soap Scoop! Moira’s huge plea decision
Emmerdale teases new hope for Moira Dingle tonight ahead of her plea hearing, as her loved ones discover evidence to help prove her innocence. However, despite the valiant effort to clear her name, Moira’s freedom isn’t quite guaranteed. Could pleading guilty still be her best option?
In tonight’s episode, Robert Sugden is racked with guilt over his part in Moira’s arrest and the effect it has had on her family. He gets ready to hand himself into the police but is interrupted by Paddy Dingle who has Bear Wolf on the phone.

Bear recalls removing number plates off Ray Walters’ car after finding it splattered in blood, before giving them to Celia Daniels to hide. Aaron Dingle persuades Robert to let him investigate the new information before he gives his confession.
Meanwhile, after an impassioned speech from Marlon Dingle, Cain tries to convince his wife to change her plea, but she remains firm in her decision.
“It’s not about whether I’m innocent. We are way past that. I have taken this plea deal because it’s the least horrible option!” Moira cries, begging him to support her.

With the help of Kammy Hadiq, Aaron and Robert manage to trace the number plates to a storage unit in Hotten, but struggle to locate the correct container. Fortunately, Marlon remembers finding a key at Celia’s farm and the race to save Moira is back on.
“Ray and Celia had a secret lock-up and we’ve found it! IDs, phones, piles and piles of paperwork in different names. At least half a dozen computers,” Marlon tells Cain.

Cain staggers out of his hospital bed and rushes to court to stop Moira from pleading guilty, convinced there is now enough evidence to clear her name.
However, back at the storage unit, the police arrive to examine the evidence for processing. In a disappointing update, DS Walsh explains that all new findings have to be presented formally in court after being reviewed – meaning nothing will change for Moira today.
Cain arrives at the court as Moira is being escorted inside and tells her about the recent development. He assures her she doesn’t need to plead guilty anymore. But will she decide to take the risk?
