Emmerdale Dr Todd star’s famous family revealed including actress mum and sister
Dr Todd has caused plenty of drama on Emmerdale so far – but it turns out actress Caroline Harker comes from a rather famous family.
Jacob Sugden’s (Joe-Warren Plant) life has been made a living nightmare in recent weeks because of Dr Tod.: As well as pushing him to his absolute limits, Dr Todd has also been gaslighting him, and calling him out over his mistakes.
The pair seemed to turn a corner last week though, w Dr Todd opened up about her life outside the hospital revealing she has a wife, and her dementia-stricken father was in hospital.

Dr Todd’s nice behaviour didn’t last long though, as Dr Todd lashed out at Jacob for ignoring the Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order on her dad’s file, leading to a panicked and drained Jacob accidentally knocking Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) over with his car.
And in Sunday’s episode (April 12) Dr Todd continued to play mind games with Jacob and later started her plan to make it out like Jacob is obsessed with her.
However, away from the soap, it turns out Dr Todd actress Caroline Harker comes from a rather famous family. Her mum Polly Adams is an accompanied actress who has worked both in the UK and the US.
She notably played Mrs. Brown in the 1990s television series Just William, and her other TV credits include Kingdom and The Cinder Path.

In 1975, Polly made her Broadway debut in the award-nominated role of Grace Harkaway in a revival of London Assurance.
But Polly is not the only famous family member Caroline has. Her sister is Susannah Harker who has appeared in Pride and Prejudice, Midsomer Murders and Grantchester. She was also nominated for a BAFTA TV Award in 1990 for her role as Mattie Storin in House of Cards.

Meanwhile speaking about Dr Todd’s return, Caroline Harker commented: “I’m delighted to be back at Emmerdale for a longer stint playing Doctor Todd. She’s a complex character and from what I’ve been told so far, quite a tricky one for Jacob to navigate.”

The talented actress added: “Workplace bullying is commonplace, and it will be interesting to see it brought to our screens in a serial drama such as Emmerdale.”
