Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Todd’s wedding shock
Theo Silverton regained control over Todd Grimshaw in ominous new scenes on Coronation Street, with the abuser manipulating his victim once again as he sought complete control over his life.
Theo has been tormenting Todd for the past few months in a vicious campaign of coercive control and manipulation, but Todd had begun to spot abusive patterns of behaviour and even managed to leave the relationship.
In tonight’s episode of the ITV soap, Todd headed for dinner with Sarah Platt, who attempted to boost his spirits following the breakdown of his relationship. Trouble soon found them, however, as Theo walked in.
Given that Theo was with a new fellow at a table, Todd assumed that they were on a date. Sarah, sensing Todd’s discomfort and jealousy, offered to go somewhere else for dinner, but Todd said he was fine.
As he headed to the bar, Theo came over and called the man, called Andy, over. Todd asked how Theo could have moved on so quickly, but Theo explained that Andy was merely there as a work colleague.
The pair spoke later, with Theo saying that he wanted Todd to be happy. As the pair reminisced about their relationship, Todd was still clearly torn by the good and bad memories, with Theo laying it on thick as he attempted to manipulate him further.
With Todd openly expressing jealousy at the thought of Theo being with another man, it seems that Theo’s dastardly plan has worked – but what will he do next in order to have Todd back under his control?
The developments come after it was reported that James Cartwright, who portrays Theo, would be departing the soap later this year. The actor, who debuted as the villain in March 2025, hasn’t publicly commented on the reports.
“James joined Corrie on a finite contract and was fully aware of his character’s story arc and how long he would be in the show,” said a spokesperson for the soap. “He still has scenes to film in the Todd/Theo storyline and will be on screen until later this year.”
