Episode 7 of Sister Wives season 19 was released on October 27. The episode saw the separated three wives, Christine, Janelle, and Meri carrying on with their lives after their divorce,

alongside those of Kody and Robyn.

Janelle was seen discussing the property she wanted to buy in the previous episode, and Christine was seen visiting wedding venues in the current episode.

The episode also documented Meri talking about how she felt now that she was finally single after she spiritually divorced Kody in the church recently. When Kody came to sit down with her, he talked about how sad he felt about them finally separating, even though they had been leading different lives for the last few years.

He explained that he was feeling sad because divorce was never an option for him, adding that he was taken aback even when pop stars Cher and Sonny Bono divorced. The popstars married in 1964 and divorced in 1975, ending an 11-year marriage. Cher reportedly filed for divorce, citing “involuntary servitude” as the reason.

Fans of Sister Wives called Kody out for mentioning the divorce repeatedly.

“Kody must have been the only 6-year-old devastated by Sonny and Cher’s divorce, because are you serious? he’s so weird,” said one fan.

“I don’t think Sonny and Cher mourned their marriage as much as #KodyBrown has,” said another fan.

“I don’t know how anyone sat there with a straight face when Kody brought up being sad over Sonny and Cher getting divorced,” a third fan added.

Some fans of Sister Wives jokingly urged Cher to respond to Kody’s obsession with her divorce.

Kody sat down with Meri, her sister, and her brother-in-law, who also happened to be his best friend. When Meri asked why their separation was sad to Kody, he said that was because it was the end of an era.

He took to a Sister Wives confessional to add that it didn’t matter if it was for the good of both, he wasn’t going to put on a “smiley face”.

Kody then said in a confessional that he was guilty of marrying people he wasn’t in love with. Janelle in a different confessional said that it was hard to keep up with Kody because it was hard to play pretend for 20 years.

He spoke in another confessional saying he didn’t know what to believe when it came to divorce, and added that Jesus said not to get divorced.

Kody also added that they had to hang on to the fact that they had to separate from people who weren’t making them happy. He told Meri that he was 5-7 when Sonny and Cher got divorced, and he was devastated to see it happening.
