Time helps heal wounds, but it never fully erases pain or loss. Sister Wives star Christine
Brown still sorely misses Garrison Brown eight months after his tragic death in the spring of 2024.
In a new interview, she touched on the subject and how she’s handling the grief. Nothing
will ever make the situation better, but she will always have the memories.
Christine Brown Admits She’ll Never Move Past Garrison’s Loss
Sister Wives Season 19 directly addressed Garrison’s death with a quick message. However, it became immediately clear that TLC attempted to scrub him from the footage, angering fans. Many viewers felt the network was trying to completely erase him, which was especially frustrating since he played such an important role in recent seasons.
In recent interviews, both Janelle and Christine Brown have spoken up about missing Garrison. Christine wasn’t biologically related to him, but she always included him with her own children.
The pain hasn’t gotten any easier to bear.
“I’m just gonna have to embrace that pain, cause it’s never gonna go away,” the TLC star shared in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It’s always gonna be there. There’s always gonna be a Garrison-sized hole. It’s hard.”
Garrison Brown was incredibly close to his family, especially his mother Janelle.
“Every day is a day,” Janelle recently told Us Weekly. “You just take it one day at a time, one moment at a time. … I just think you do what you can to support mental health, especially men’s mental health. And we just continued to try to honor him and remember him.”
“We were super, super lucky to have him in our lives,” Christine added in the same interview. “And we’ll miss him every day.”
The Family Continues Honoring Garrison’s Memory
TLC may have edited Garrison Brown out of Season 19 footage, but the family certainly hasn’t forgotten him. And neither have his adoring fans or the community.
After Garrison’s death, Sister Wives fans donated to Flagstaff animal shelters. Some received so many donations that they opted to honor the TLC star in different ways. The High Country Humane Society named an entire room after Garrison and waived adoption fees for an entire month.
In the months following his death, Christine, Janelle, and several of the kids came up with their own creative ways to honor his memory. Some of Christine’s children planted a tree for him in her backyard.
