villain. The family patriarch is seen handing out harsh statements not only to his ex-wife, Meri Brown

but also to his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown. Kody seems agitated in most situations, be they

private or social. It seems the departure of Meri, Janelle, and Christine has finally taken a toll on him.

Sister Wives: Kody Brown Blames Meri For Their Unsuccessful Marriage

The Sister Wives Season 19 trailer sheds light on critical moments between Kody and his wives. A standout detail is Kody’s harsh treatment of Meri. As the first wife he married in 1990 and the last to leave him in January 2023, you’d think he’d be grateful to Meri for sticking by him for nearly four decades.

However, true to his narcissistic nature, the Sister Wives star continues to hurt her. In the trailer, Kody coldly states, “What sucks is not the divorce but marrying the wrong person,” in a deadpan tone, hinting at his bitterness. However, he doesn’t stop there. Kody continues his harsh monologue, declaring that their marriage has been “confusing” from the start.

Meri tried to stand up to him but was met with Kody’s cold demeanor and a dismissive smirk. During a private confessional, Kody took his intolerant personality to another level, exclaiming that it wasn’t his fault that he didn’t love Meri. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Kody has insulted Meri. Fans have noticed his distasteful remarks toward Meri only growing over the years.

With Meri continuously being the victim of Kody’s harsh behavior, Sister Wives fans always expected her to be the first to leave him. However, interestingly, even after Janelle and Christine’s departure, Meri chose to stick around. It wasn’t until much later that she decided to leave. That too after Kody no longer considered them a couple. It seems Meri’s decision to part ways was what Kody wanted all along. However, even now, he refuses to let her live peacefully.

In the highly anticipated trailer, Kody describes his ongoing family situation as a “civil war.” With Meri, Janelle, and Christine leaving him, the Sister Wives star now leads a monogamous life with his fourth wife, Robyn. Moreover, Meri also seems to be distancing herself. In the trailer, she clarified that she wasn’t taking any sides.

“I’m not gonna be in the ex-wives club, I’m not gonna be in the Kody and Robyn club,” she states. This statement is not entirely surprising, given her long-standing position in the Brown family.
