Emmerdale reveals who will blow Charity’s baby secret amid extreme blackmail

Emmerdale ’s Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) is in quite the pickle now that evil Dr Todd (Caroline Harker) has learned of baby Leyla’s true parentage.
Not in a million years could Charity have foreseen how her deepest, darkest secret would get out. After Charity gave birth in the lift at the hospital with the baby’s real dad Ross (Michael Parr) playing midwife, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) cornered Ross in the carpark and, rather ungratefully, told him to back off.
Her words of warning were heard by more than just Ross – Dr Todd was loitering nearby and learned that Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), her med student who has filed a complaint against her for bullying – is not aware that he is not the father of the baby.
The evil doc had struck gold.
Without wasting a moment, the Caitlin took the information to Charity in her hospital bed and began blackmailing her – either she get Jacob to drop his grievance against her, or Todd spills the beans.
Without much choice, Charity was forced to manipulate Jacob into dropping the case. But that doesn’t mean Todd will just forget the valuable information she’s learned.

Jacob is too much of a good egg; despite the pain Todd has caused him, he starts to think their feud has gone too far and he needs to make amends, on the day of her dad’s funeral, no less.
He approaches his mentor to offer his condolences and foolishly believes his apologies have been accepted.
Dr Todd is getting her feet well and truly under the table in the village. Mary (Louise Jameson) notices a spark between her and Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) and later plays matchmaker in the pub, pushing Vanessa to ask out Dr Todd.
They set up a date and a fresh and dangerous situation is unfolding. Todd is getting dangerously close to Charity’s ex. This calculating woman has a plan.
Todd then turns the evil back on – she infers to Jacob that she knows an important secret that could ruin his life. No bluff here, she’s not wrong. Charity hears of this and panics.
