Coronation Street Soap Scoop! Will’s major turning point

Coronation Street has confirmed that scheming Jodie Ramsey is alive and well, despite fears that she had been kidnapped — or worse. The character, played by Olivia Frances-Brown, is continuing to cause havoc between her sister Shona and brother-in-law David… and clearly couldn’t be happier about it.

Tonight’s scenes saw David (Jack P Shepherd) telling Shona (Julia Goulding) about some of Jodie’s past behaviour, leading to some tense bickering between the two. Unknown to them, that was witnessed by a mystery person nearby…

David then told the police about the voicemail Jodie left him last week, in which she said that despite his advances, she wasn’t interested in him.

Viewers, of course, know that Jodie tricked David into that particular situation. But, in the interview room, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) questioned why David “withheld information, potential evidence, for three days”.

Kit kept hold of David’s phone, which Shona reasoned was a good thing because it “means they’re taking it seriously. Something bad could’ve happened, couldn’t it?”

David replied: “I’d like to say something positive, but we don’t know with Jodie, do we? She’s got more layers than an onion. Chances are, though, she’s doing fine, just looking after number one.”

When David gave Shona a moment alone, she left her sister a voicemail saying: “I don’t care about that stunt you pulled with David, all right? I just need to know you’re okay. So come home. Please.”

Viewers then saw a smug-looking Jodie on a swing, with her being the person who was spying on the couple earlier. She saved the voicemail and then happily listened to ‘2 Become 1’ by the Spice Girls.

What is Jodie playing at — and what does she intend to do with that voicemail?

Things will kick up a gear next week when she worms her way into Daniel Osbourne’s home and uses his secret to buy herself more time in the area.

“If David thinks he can chase Jodie out of Weatherfield, he can think again,” our Corrie spy warned. “Right now, Jodie might have lost a battle, but the war is still on and she’s going to fight him.

“All she needs to do is find a place to regroup and come up with a new plan. It turns out that place could be Daniel’s flat…”
