SHOCKING TWIST!!! Coronation Street exit twist as Will Driscoll’s family urge him to leave

Coronation Street will introduce an exit twist in the storyline involving Will Driscoll, which has seen him clash with his family following his relationship with Megan Walsh. With tensions rising, he’s offered a way out of Weatherfield.

Over the past few months on the ITV soap, Will was groomed by his athletics coach Megan, though he didn’t see himself as a victim. After his family found out, they have ordered him to stay away from his abuser, but he’s disobeyed their orders.

Following the various revelations, Will’s mother, Melanie, arrived in Weatherfield last week, and is unhappy with how Will ended up in the situation with Megan. To aid his recovery, she wants him to live with her instead of Ben and Eva.

In scenes set to air from 5-8 May, Melanie will call Ben and state her intention for Will to move to Scotland with her. The Rovers landlord isn’t having any of it, but Melanie still blames her ex-husband for the situation.

Seeing that Ben won’t budge, Melanie tries a different tactic and attempts to plant ideas in Will’s head, suggesting that he come up north with her. Feeling pressured, Will storms out without making a decision.

Melanie keeps her foot down, and again asks Will if he would consider moving to Scotland. Ben, eventually, has a change of heart, and suggests that it may be good for Will to spend some time outside of Weatherfield.

To Ben’s surprise, Will wholeheartedly agrees, and says that he’s happy to move as soon as the following day. With Will seemingly eager to move away from his family, can their relationship be recovered?

“Melanie isn’t shy when it comes to blaming Ben and Eva,” explains our Weatherfield insider. “It may be unfair, but she thinks that they should have kept a much closer eye on Will.”

Of course, the soap is currently in the middle of ‘Murder Week’, where Betsy Swain discovers a currently-unidentified body. Megan is one of five the potential victims, so could Will’s decision be due to her potential death?

“It’s surprising to see Will so prepared to leave with his mother,” teases our Coronation Street source. “Is this a sign that Megan is no longer in the picture, or is there another explanation?”
