Phil’s the only one who can help Lexi as her secret emerges in EastEnders
There’s concern brewing for Lexi next week in EastEnders, as her recent behaviour sparks worry among the Mitchells, and it’s Phil who ends up stepping in when no one else can get through to her.
Lexi has been acting out of character lately, refusing to go to school and shutting herself off from those around her.
At first, there’s confusion about what’s going on. Is it just a phase, or something more serious? As Lexi continues to dig her heels in, concern quickly turns into urgency, with the family determined to get to the bottom of it. It all began as Nigel’s health deteriorated and he left Walford. His departure hit Lexi hard after the pair had formed a close bond.
Sam is especially troubled by the situation and becomes convinced that someone needs to break through Lexi’s walls before things get worse. And in her eyes, there’s only one person who stands a chance, Phil.
Despite his tough exterior, Phil has always had a soft spot for his family, and when it comes to Lexi, there’s a bond there that runs deep. Realising this, Sam turns to him for help, hoping he can reach Lexi in a way no one else can.
Phil steps in, and it doesn’t take long before he starts to make progress.
As the pair spend time together, Lexi finally begins to open up, revealing the real reason behind her refusal to go to school. While the exact details come as a shock to the family, it’s clear that Lexi has been quietly struggling, keeping a difficult secret to herself.

Later that evening, Sam is hit with worrying news: Nigel’s health is taking a turn for the worse, with his pneumonia becoming more serious. The news sends panic through the family, adding another layer of stress to an already emotional time.
As the reality of the situation sinks in, Sam and Mark are left facing a difficult decision. Mark suggests that it might be time to inform Grant about what’s happening, believing he deserves to know.

Determined to try and bridge the gap, Mark leaves Grant a voicemail, urging him to return to the Square before it’s too late.
