DIRTY PLAN!!! Coronation Street’s Jodie hatches devious plot to cause rift with Platts
Since the day she set foot on Coronation Street, Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) has been hellbent on tearing her sister Shona’s (Julia Goulding) family apart.
Now Weatherfield’s latest psycho executes the latest phase of her twisted plan… and it works only too well.
The cuckoo in the nest is such as classic villain, fiendish in its simplicity. Pick your victim, act all pally-pally with them until they invite you to stay, get your feet under table, then turn their family against them one by one until you can oust them from the household and take their place.
That’s certainly Jodie’s game plan.
It’s no secret that Jodie shares a troubled past with Shona, who ran away from home as a teen mum and left her behind with their abusive dad and enabling mum.
What Shona doesn’t know is that her twisted sister has harboured a grudge all these years, and plans to get revenge by turning her husband David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and step-daughter Lily (Grace Ashcroft-Gardner) against her.
This has involved making Shona look like a bad mum, talking badly about her in front of Lily , and doing everything in her power to seduce David.
Shona’s none the wiser to her sibling’s scheming, as she’s had bigger things to worry about.
The birth of her premature daughter Harper, for instance. While Jodie was escaping from the back of Emmerdale supervillain Graham Foster’s (Andrew Scarborough) van in the Corriedale crash, the Platts were fearing for their new born daughter’s life.
Even when the little mite pulled through, they needed all the help they could get. Jodie showed up at just the right time, gaining Shona’s sympathies by claiming she had escaped an abusive partner… which turned out to be a cock and bull story she got from attending a domestic abuse survivors’ group.
So far, Jodie’s attempts to split up Shona and David have gone no further than stealing her wedding ring, pouring poison about her to Lily andthrowing a sickie to watch a Marvel movie marathon with David.
That’s all about to change in upcoming episodes of Coronation Street, where Jodie seizes the chance to drive a wedge between Shona and David, in a way that is worryingly effective.
At No.8, David chats to Gail on the phone and wishes her a happy birthday. When David tells her that Lily wants a new tablet but they can’t afford one, Jodie’s ears prick up. She spies an opportunity. What is she up to?
That would be telling. All I can say is that Jodie’s latest scheme causes a huge rift in the Platt clan. Step one of her vengeful scheme is complete.
With Coronation Street’s Whodunnit murder mystery set to take place very soon during Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain’s (Vickey Myers) wedding, Jodie has already been confirmed as one of the potential victims.
