FINAL FAREWELL Coronation Street’s Catherine Tyldesley quits TV role just months after soap return
CORONATION Street’s Catherine Tyldesley has quit a TV role just months after her big soap return.
The ITV star returned to the cobbles as Eva Price back in October but has already booked a short break to film another telly exit later this year.

Catherine, 42, is set to exit Channel 5‘s The Good Ship Murder in the upcoming fourth series.
As the actress leaves the fan favourite crime show Shayne Ward will be back as the lead character Jack Grayling.
Catherine will make her final bow as first officer Kate Woods during the season debut as part of a “special appearance.”
The Good Ship Murder follows Jack Grayling, a former police detective, who is pursuing an exciting career as a cabaret singer on a lavish Mediterranean cruise ship.

But, when a string of brutal murders take place on board Jack is sucked back in to his preceding life as a detective.
Catherine has played her role of Kate in the cosy crime drama since it began back in 2023.
Fans have so far seen Kate team up with Jack as they try to navigate solving murders while balancing their complicated romantic relationship.
The actress is set to fly out to Malta this spring and film the emotional final scenes.
A source said: “Cath spoke to her bosses at Corrie about taking some time off to film her Good Ship exit and they agreed.
“When she agreed to return to the soap there was a lot of uncertainty about whether or not she would be able to go back, but fortunately it’s all working out.

“There was talk about possibly killing off her character but in the end bosses decided that she would get a happy ending.
“The writers are delighted that Cath is able to return to film her exit.
“Cath and Shayne have formed such an incredible partnership on-screen and the viewers deserve to see how it all ends for them.”
The Good Ship Murder season four is already being teased with bosses saying it will be a “brand new voyage packed with intrigue and danger”, as well as guest stars.
Channel 5 commissioning editor Greg Barnett said: “Audiences have truly embraced the show’s unique combination of mystery, music and escapism, and we are excited to continue Jack’s journey with even more surprises and new faces in store.”
“It’s a bittersweet moment as we bid a fond farewell to a beloved character and friend, but we’re very excited about the next voyage for The Good Ship Murder,” added executive producer, Andy Morgan.
