EJ Has Some Explaining to Do

Rachel is Like Her Mother 
Rachel (Lorelei Olivia Mote) is nervous about testifying at the hearing that will decide how she should be handled after confessing that she shot EJ (they don’t even know about her attempting to kill Sarah, too).
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) assures her daughter that she can just lie her way through it, like a good DiMera. It’s in her blood. Just doesn’t let that goody-goody Black DNA dilute what Rachel does best.
Ari and Liam are Free and Clear
Ari (Marissa Reyes) and Liam (Hank Northrup) have crossed an important milestone in their budding soap opera couple: him getting shot and her patching him up. Next should be going on the run.
That’s what Liam was afraid of when he told Ari to stay away (also super-couple 101). But she has some good news for him, which may make the latter irrelevant.
Gwen and Leo are Banter Buds
Gwen (Emily O’Brien) still hates Leo (Greg Rikaart). Leo still feels guilty in front of Gwen, but now that Dimitri (Peter Porte) has convinced Leo that Gwen was behind his kidnapping, his guilt is taking a back seat to his anger.
So Leo says what he thinks are clever things to her. Gwen responds with pure snark. Leo assumes she didn’t realize how clever he was being, so he tries it again. It still doesn’t work.
