Coronation Street is just over a mo nth away from revealing which character dies in its big ongoing mystery, and tonight’s episode saw some more potential hints dropped.
For context, a flash-forward episode saw Betsy Swain find a dead body, and it was revealed that it will be one of five people: Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey, or Carl Webster.
After last night’s episode, where Megan was arrested on suspicion of grooming Will Driscoll, tonight’s instalment opened with the mood still tense.
Maggie continued to make sly digs, much to Eva Price’s annoyance, and even blamed Ben for putting too much focus into the pub to notice what was going on.

Against her family’s advice, she revealed that she has been doing investigating on her own, and has spoken with Chloe from Hull, who was romantically involved with Will before and was believed to be the one hiding in the room in Chariot Square Hotel on his 16th birthday.
She said she wasn’t, which led to family to work out that it was probably Megan in the room, although they weren’t able to secure the CCTV evidence.
It’s Maggie’s snooping, and the very specific line from her where she says Megan will only get away with her crimes “over my dead body – or preferably hers”, that could be interpreted as some major foreshadowing.
Could Maggie really kill Megan – or die trying? She has killed before. Whatever happens, we’ll find out on 23 April.
Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, Leanne threw Megan’s stuff out and noticed some pregnancy vitamins in her beside table. She took that information to the Driscoll family, and they might finally have found the evidence they need.
