SHOCKING TWIST!!! Emmerdale twist in Bear saga as character confesses to murder in ITVX release

The following article contains spoilers from the episode of Emmerdale dated March 19. It hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed on ITVX.
Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) has made a heartbreaking decision in Emmerdale, believing the current situation with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) is all his fault.
A couple of days ago, Bear told DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) that he intentionally killed Ray Walters (Joe Absolom).
He only did this because the detective had worked out he didn’t act alone on the day Ray died. It suddenly increased the possibility that Bear would go to prison for the rest of his life, but the character was willing to do so if it meant Paddy and Dylan got to carry on their lives in the village.
The duo absolutely hated the thought of Bear going to prison for murder though, and went to the police station to tell Walsh that they lied about where they were when Ray died.
Dylan and Paddy were charged with perverting the course of justice, but had to wait a couple of days for their bail hearing.
While they were behind bars, Mandy and Aaron Dingle (Lisa Riley and Danny Miller) realised that if they got someone to lie about Ray’s state of mind prior to his death, it may help the trio stuck behind bars.
Arthur Thomas (Alfie Clarke) volunteered as tribute for this, convinced this very risky but selfless gesture could assuage the guilt he’s still feeling for putting his mum in hospital.
Due to the fact Paddy and Dylan’s bail hearing got brought forward a few hours, they returned home earlier than expected. When they arrived, neither of them could find Mandy, and concern started to grow when Laurel said she was looking for Arthur.
After finding Arthur’s location on Laurel’s phone tracker, she headed to the station with Paddy. The young man wasn’t able to go through with lying, much to the relief of Paddy and Laurel, who both thought Arthur was very close to making a massive mistake.
At home, Mandy and Paddy argued over their opposing views on the matter. Paddy and his strong moral compass wanted to do the right thing and face the consequences for his actions, while Mandy with her giant heart just wanted her boys home.

As they shouted, Dylan walked in and immediately grew uncomfortable at the tense dynamic. Because Dylan comes from a broken home and has spent so much time on the streets, he can’t recognise that Paddy and Mandy – who are deeply in love with each other – can have arguments and still be okay at the end of it.
As night fell, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) received a call from Dylan, who was standing on a bridge with a bag on his shoulders. He explained that he had posted a letter to the police confessing that he killed Ray, believing that he is the reason Paddy and Bear’s lives are falling apart.
April begged for Dylan to come home, but he was too focused on the fact he thinks he’s a burden to those around him.
