It seems we’ve only just scratched the surface with Jasmine Fisher’s (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) past as EastEnders has hinted at more skeletons in the closet for the estranged daughter of Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan).
The barmaid rocked up in the Square last year, hellbent on destroying biological mum Zoe, who she felt had abandoned her at birth.
With some assistance from Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), a campaign of pure destruction ensued, with Zoe left terrified for her own life.
The situation reached a peak at Christmas when the truth about her stalker was revealed and, after getting the whole picture, Jasmine showed a little remorse over her actions.
And in an unexpected twist, Jasmine killed dad Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) to protect Zoe. However, she would ultimately let her go to prison for the crime to protect herself.
Kat (Jessie Wallace), meanwhile, worked around the clock to secure her daughter’s freedom and later had Jasmine arrested. The young barmaid was charged with Anthony’s murder and is now facing trial.
Video footage exists on her phone which confirms that she acted in self-defence but the device has gone missing, meaning that Jasmine is looking at life behind bars for murder.

But is Anthony’s life the only one Jasmine has claimed? It seems there’s much more to the character’s past than we yet know, as hinted on Tuesday (March 17).
Jasmine’s twin brother Josh (Joshua Vaughn) arrived in the Square, hot on the heels of mum Sandra (Dawn Steele), who was desperate to learn all there is to know about what happened with Jasmine.
Denise Fox (Diane Parish) and Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) weren’t pleased to hear Sandra discussing such a thing and thus confronted her on the matter, which prompted her to reveal her identity – and her connection to Jasmine.
In intense scenes, Sandra revealed that she and her husband Keith fostered both Jasmine and Josh when they were four years old. ‘They were such great kids’, she said with a hopeful tone and then, with a more sombre one: ‘I thought my family was finally complete.’

When asked why Jasmine was later separated from Josh, a hesitant Sandra revealed that there was an ‘incident’, which she didn’t want to talk further on, piquing Denise and Kim’s interest.
Sandra revealed that she formally adopted Josh, which prompted Jasmine to cut ties with them both. The plot thickened when Kim asked after Sandra husband Keith, to which she remained silent. The subtext, however, did all the talking.
Questions galore.
What was the incident that led to Jasmine being separated from her sibling? If the last year has taught us anything it’s that the character is pretty much capable of anything, having left Zoe for dead in a fire and pushed Cindy (Michelle Collins) down the stairs (leaving her for dead as well). And that’s before you factor in the Anthony’s murder.
With all of that in mind, could Jasmine have shed blood previously? And if so, was Keith the victim? Sandra seemed heartbroken when quizzed on the subject so it’s certainly a possibility.
