EastEnders’ Mark Fowler has been caught out by Lauren Beale, with his secret car theft scheme exposed in dramatic fashion. With his illegal activity out in the open and Lauren furious about his deception, could he be facing time behind bars?
Last week, Phil managed to get Mark out of the dangerous gang he was involved in – but Mark was left owing his criminal boss £100,000. To start raising this cash, Mark roped in an associate to steal an expensive car from Lauren.
Mark’s associate Sonny returned with another premium car for Mark to flog, so at the Mother’s Day lunch this week, he approached Lauren with an opportunity to sell some high-end vehicles.
After some advice from visiting Cora, Lauren decided to accept Mark’s offer, and in today’s episode she quickly managed to sell the expensive BMW that Mark brought to her that morning.
Knowing about Mark’s criminal dealings, new employee Priya was worried about Lauren working with him, but she chose not to voice her concerns.

Happy about this new partnership, Lauren texted Mark to ask him for some more cars as soon as possible. Max asked about whether the paperwork was legit, but Lauren assured her dad that everything was above board.
But later, Lauren got a visit from Callum, who told her that the stolen car had been found – and that there had been a spike in thefts of high-end motors in the area recently. This set alarm bells ringing for Lauren, who realised that her business success might be too good to be true.
As Max questioned who could be behind the carjacking, he encouraged Lauren to always trust her gut, so she decided to investigate the legitimacy of Mark’s car scheme.
That evening, Sonny met up with Mark and told him about the police tracing the car from last week. Mark wasn’t worried though and asked him about getting his hands on five more expensive motors.
However, Lauren, who was on her way to confront Mark, overheard their conversation and was left wanting answers about his betrayal. What will Lauren do with the knowledge that the cars from Mark are stolen?
