CATHERINE TYLDESLEY FINALLY CONFESSES THE DARK TRUTH BEHIND EVA PRICE’S MOST SINISTER MURDER PLOT AS A LONG-BURIED SECRET IS EXPOSED 🎭🔪

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has said whether she thinks her much-loved character could be capable of murder as the truth about Megan Walsh is set to come spilling out in upcoming scenes.

The actress, from Salford, returned to the ITV soap last year in the role of Eva Price after seven years away. Fans will recall that Eva left Weatherfield to start a new life in France, but she returned in October as landlady of the Rovers Return, after she was surprised with the beloved boozer by her partner, Ben Driscoll.

It meant they relocated to the cobbles with their family, including Eva’s daughter, Susie, abd Ben’s two sons, Ollie, and Will, to run. However, he failed to mention that his mother, Maggie, had to bail him out with the money to buy the boozer, and she was soon seen moving in with them too.

But as Corrie fans know, Will was the last Driscoll to make his appearance after hel kicked off to his family about having to leave his athletics training. However, it wasn’t his training that Will wasn’t wanting to leave, as it was revealed he was in a secret relationship with his coach Megan Walsh, with the pair going on to sleep together just as he turned 16.

Megan has since discovered she’s pregnant, telling Will, who isn’t her only victim, as viewers were also introduced to another teen, Will, who admitted to sleeping with Megan, the baby is his.

But, Megan and Will’s secret looked set to come spilling out and while it looks like it takes Sam Blakeman, who has already tried to catch the groomer out, being hospitalised for the truth to out, it’s been revealed that the Driscolls will be out for the truth and end up in a race against time to get what they need to bring Megan to justice.

But as fans also know, Megan is one of the five possible victims of a murder on the cobbles in April, with Betsy Swain the one to discover the dead body of one of her neighbours on the day of her mum, Lisa Swain’s, wedding to Carla Connor.

The news was confirmed in a flashforward episode which aired in February and showed the shocked and anxious teen telling detectives about finding the dead body of someone she knows. Dressed in wedding clothes, she explained she had been at the Connor-Swain wedding, but was heading into town to continue the celebrations when she made the shocking discovery.

When asked if Eva could be a murder suspect if Megan does end up as the victim, Catherine told Inside Soap: “I wouldn’t put it past her!” She went on to elaborate: “When Eva is pushed, you see that fire rise up, and sometimes she can’t contain it. I think when Eva finds out about Will and Megan, her first reaction will be panic, then anger. We know what she’s capable of… I’d be scared of Eva!”

It comes after Catherine was recently seen paying tribute to her co-star, Aaron McCusker, best known for playing Jamie McGuire in Channel 4’s Shameless, who now plays on-screen partner Ben.

Sharing a picture of the pair behind-the-scenes at the Trafford-based set, she wrote on Instagram: “I am so lucky to work with this gent everyday. Our paths have almost crossed several times in the past with castings for other projects and I’ve admired his work for a long time- here we are, finally working together! The universe clearly had a plan!”

She added: “What an actor this guy is, such fine, detailed work and so generous. But also one of the nicest, funniest people I know. It’s a bloody pleasure standing behind that bar with you each day @aaronmccusker6474 (especially when you bring Turkish delight or dark chocolate [crying laughing emojis]).”

Cath’s Corrie pal Tony Maudsley was quick to respond, as he gushed: “Ahhh now this just works a treat!! Perfect match!!” The family of Eva’s on-screen daughter, Aurora Bradshaw, who plays Susie Price, also commented: “We second that.”
