AN EASTENDERS star has revealed that she is set to go under the knife for a breast reduction.
Roxy Mitchell actress Rita Simons, 49, has revealed that she is battling debilitating health condition scoliosis and is having surgery in three weeks to help with the pain she endures from it.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday to share a life update, Rita began by opening up about how she’s recently been moaning about giving up vaping.
She shared a slew of snaps and clips, including a photo of an x-ray of her spine, and a video showing off her big boobs.
In the caption, she said: “Apart from the fact it’s a rancid habit that needed to go, there was another reason… surgery in 3 weeks.”
Rita added: “It’s finally time to say goodbye to my massively annoying boobs.

“The pain they cause my back just isn’t necessary anymore.
“This chapter seems to be about getting rid of everything that doesn’t serve me… the womb, the alcohol, the sugar, the fags/vape…so let’s do the boobs too.
“The boobs definitely do not serve me.”
She went on: “Because of my particular scoliosis and the state of the rest of my back, I’m not a candidate for spinal surgery.
“My spine can’t be ‘fixed’, so my focus is on doing everything I can to reduce pain and slow the progression of the curves.
“They’ll never be cured — so we work with what we’ve got,” she explained.
“I can’t lie… pain relief aside, I’m also looking forward to not having the rib hump at the back and the two mountains at the front.
“Let’s lose those mountains,” she added.
Rita then explained how she was sharing this because “adult scoliosis isn’t talked about enough — and this is just one of the many curveballs women with scoliosis can experience”.
Fans flocked to the comments section to wish Rita well.
One person wrote: “Good luck!! Your curvy spine will be so happy after.”
“I’ve had scoliosis since small it’s bloody painful hope all goes well,” said a second.
“Best of luck Rita, good on you for sharing your story and raising awareness wishing you a speedy recovery. Take care,” added a third.
“Good on you for sharing the story,” said a fourth.
According to the NHS, scoliosis is where the spine twists and curves to the side.

The health provider states: “Scoliosis can improve with treatment, but it is not usually a sign of anything serious and treatment is not always needed if it’s mild.”
In terms of treatment, they explain: “Adults may need treatment to relieve pain, such as painkillers, spinal injections and, very occasionally, surgery.”
